If you guys missed The Lanterjack then you missed something. And I'm not saying that just because I've met and developed friendships with a couple of them.

Did you know that one of them is a regular here?

the moment I saw the username I knew who it was.

My band way back in the day played a number of shows with them - this is approximately the 1997 - 1998 timeframe. One of my good friends was employed by them as a guitarist for quite a while too.

It's a tragedy that no one has mentioned Slum Village.

I'll one up ya

J-Dilla :lick:

I was thinking more along the lines of "bands", but as far as the entire music scene most defintely.

Mitch Ryder was phenomenal back in the 60s. They had a tremendous live show with Jimmy McCartney on lead and JOhnny B. on Drums. Many years later I saw them open up for MOlly Hatchett on their first tour at Center Stage in Canton and Mitch was a flaming joke and was seriously pitiful. I saw some recent concert footage that was pretty darn good, so hopefully Mitch has mended his drunken ways. http://youtube.com/watch?v=bSdrLIoqmLU
