The Yahoo Wrap-up against Anaheim:

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- The Anaheim Ducks didn't suffer any hangover from their most embarrassing loss of the season. Coach Randy Carlyle wouldn't let them.

Bjorn Melin scored in his NHL debut and the Ducks also got goals from Travis Moen and Ryan Getzlaf to beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-2 on Sunday night, ending a four-game losing streak. The victory restored some confidence to an injury-riddled club that had allowed four third-period goals in a 4-3 home loss to Columbus on Friday.

Fourthperiod.com reporting the Wings are talking to Phoenix about possibly Nagy or Doan. Wings need sandpaper.....and this bad stretch is illustrating how they can get steam-rolled, and I think the lack of enough physical presence doesn't help.

This rivalry just doesnt have the bite it used to have.

It's almost non-existant, yet the networks still play it up as if it's as intense during the Claude Lemieux days.

Datsyuk.....sick goal. All the fancy-schmachy stuff that he does that yields nothing.....but every once in a while, YEEEHAAAA!

4-3 Wings win in a shootout. 2 for 6 on the powerplay, and diving even got called on the Avs. I thought it was pretty funny, because I hardly see it called... Hasek got the win, I just cant figure how the oppo goalie got first star.....

That goes to show you how hockey is on a decline right there. All NHL rivalries lost its luster.

Datsyuk is one of the most overhyped players in NHL history. He has some skill, but he's never lived up to the expectations, especially in the playoffs.

Dats needs a true scoring winger. Z is a natural center and unfortunately there is no one on the roster of Shanahan's caliber or Hull (when he was a Wing paired with Dats). Of course, both are future HoFers but the Wings really need someone who can score goals. When you look up and down the roster, we have too many natural centers at the forward position and this is going to bite in the playoffs.
