So who won?

Normally I would send this in a PM, but it involves more people than me and I'm sure others are interested, so I put it here.

As the defending champion, I'd like to know if I can retain my title? Although looking at my selections (without looking at anyone elses), it appears that I will not.

I dunno, but that could take him until the beginning of next season to figure out even if he didn't have his 3 mos old baby taking up a lot of his free time (I assume).

Maybe anybody who took part and still gives a damn could figure out their own score and then the winner could have his number double checked or something.

I dunno, I'm just thinking aloud. Maybe Q's on the case...

Yeah, I'm way behind on everything because of Emily. I'd be mad at her for it, but she's so damn cute that it's tough to stay mad for very long. :classic:

My goal is to have the numbers done bfore the new year, as work usually slows down after the school quarter ends and I'll be able to do some stuff at work. If I don't get done before January, I don't have any idea when I'll get done, as I'm going back to school in the winter, along with working full time and trying to give my wife some free time to finish her thesis.

I wouldn't be opposed to people that are interested calcuating their own scores though, that would make things significantly easier.

I came up with 68 points, if I did this correctly. Colorado (9) and SD(16) killed me in the NL west and Cleveland (9) and MN(9) killed me in the AL Central.

I'll do it again from home.

Emily is already better at math already than many of us. She is calculating the results right now.

I have AZ but I just went down the list on MLB's standings page. I didn't bother to check records or anything.

I think we should use MLB's standings. I thought I read that they had them listed in order of tiebreaking issues.

I count 34, which should put me right in the hunt. Malefic won the contest last year with a score of 34, and trok won it two years ago with the same score.

A tie is a tie, but to any other name is a tie, or something like that.

I predicted LA Dodgers first and San Diego second, likewise I had Arizona 4th and Colorado 5th. Since LA and San Diego tied for first (and second)I counted both as 0. Similarly, since Arizona and Colorado tied for fourth and fifth I counted both as 0.

I noticed no other ties. Counting these I had 46.

I ended up with 69. I thought I had it won, until I remembered that I

picked both the Cubs and Tribe to finish first, and the Twins fifth ........

Ha, I had almost forgot about this. I scored 34, but I'm sure someone beat that. Not bad though. The darn AL Central killed me.

I'm still waiting for a score better than 34 to roll in too. Otherwise this has the makings of the closest prediction contest ever. I'm beating you on tiebreakers by .002 OPS points.
