Just curious about this.... from.... Rod Vample...AP

"A plaque in honor of Hall of Famer Ty Cobb was removed from old Tiger Stadium and relocated to Comerica Park". ...

Why was it still there?

Why...after 5 years has it not moved?

Just wondering...?

The Illitch security staff had to have something to gaurd in old Tiger stadium or people would think the $500,000 a year they get from the city stadium fund would be a scam.

Tigers dedicate plaque: The Tigers unveiled a plaque dedicated to Hall of Fame outfielder Ty Cobb on Friday afternoon in front of Comerica Park.

The plaque, on loan from the City of Detroit, had been located on the façade of Tiger Stadium near the ballpark's main entrance from 1963 until workers took it away for repair in March. It recognized Cobb as the "Greatest Tiger of All" and a "Genius in Spikes."

Cobb made his Major League debut 100 years ago and spent 22 seasons in Detroit before finishing his career with the Philadelphia A's. His plaque was originally unveiled two years after his death.
