What? Cruz is the DH???? That makes absolutely no sense, especially with Young, Meluskey and Palmer on the bench. And if you really want Cruz to play why does he play right and Fick DH. IF that lineup holds it is the worst one of the season.

Rivera with an RBI double scoring Cruz. 1-0 Tigs in the 3rd.

BTW, I have no problem with Cruz DHing, as he's been one of our best hitters all season. When you're 2-11, it makes sense to shake things up.

I got no problem with getting guys some swings but my point holds, if you are gonna play Fick and Cruz there is no good reason to DH Cruz, even moreso with Fick coming off an injury.

*cruz steals 2B.

*cruz scores on rivera's stand up double! WAY TO GO MIKE!

*salazar hits a 2 run homer. (that's his 1st ML homer! )

*double for magee

*magee scores on paquette single.....paquette to 2B on bad throw to 1st.

*paquette scores on simon's barely fair single! :)

5-0 tigs at mid of 3rd

5-0 after a cheap Randall Simon hit... but I'll take it!

The White Snots are really falling apart after sweeping the Tribe.

i like fick in right field...this past week he has proved that he can play the position. i think palmer is still hurt. he hasn't played in awhile. and young has the day off to give simon some playing time. i have no problem with cruz DH'ing.

I Love this line-up. (We could do with a better SS, though).

Funny what a difference two years makes: Higgy is one of the weaker spots, to me.

Best part of the game was Cruz's "spikes high" slide which nailed Ray Durham in the knee! Broke up the double play which allowed a run to score too! "Old Time Baseball." :)

I was impressed by 1) Simon. If you watched the Braves a few years back, the guy showed flashes in part-time duty, but other than that, the power numbers and whatnot are flabberghasting. I thought this guy was done as a big leaguer. 2) Puljos. Last night he was doing everything Phil Garner promised he would do and never did. Moving the runners, bunting in KEY positions. I thought it was great. Nice win, nice way to start my weekend.
