Svi this year is just rushing his shot way more than last year.  Seems like he takes more off balance threes than anybody.

Having Blake and DSJ on the court together has to produce some of the ugliest basketball in the NBA.

I think the most impressive thing about Saddiq Bey right now is how he can knock down that outside shot without hardly any space at all.  Even a good closeout does not seem to effect his shot.

Yeah Bey gets nice lift and a good high release with that long wingspan of his on his shots. Reminds me of Durant in that regard.

Watching some of the Pelicans and Mavs on ESPN and Zion looks unguardable. Currently 12-13 from the field.

Pistons need to find a way to lose this.

Celtics need to get Tatum and Brown some help.

Crap.  I love Bey but wish Casey kept him on the bench so we can lose.

Zion is great.  If I ever need a guy to score 30 while giving up 58 he is my guy for sure.  But it was a great win for his tea...ah ****.

What a terrible victory.

I have a bad feeling that we are not going to end up with one of three worst records.  As bad as Griffin is, I am sure he gives the Pistons a better chance at winning than Sekou.  We have to get him off this team.  We have too many guys that can keep us respectable now, especially if Bey is hot.

Trading Rose helps in this regard.

The Pistons 7 victories have come against the Lakers, Sixers, Heat, Nets, Suns and Celtics twice.  Pretty impressive resume.

I guess this is a bulletpoint for those that believe in the dangers of playing down to the level of inferior competition.

From the beginning of the year I felt that’s who we’d be. Scrappy team, force lots of turnovers, will surprise if you don’t take them seriously. I’m really enjoying this season even with all the loses. They’re building the hard working culture. Just need some high picks to get a franchise player in here.

Disagree. If they win a few led by the young guys then it's fine, a terrible victory is the ones led by the vets. As long as the young guys are developing properly, I don't mind a few wins.

In any event, they aren't finishing bottom 5. Their first half schedule had to be the toughest in the league so I'd imagine that the second half will be one of the easiest in the league so their second half record will almost certainly be better. Teams like the Wolves and Wizards are clearly worse, the Magic, Bulls, Cavs and Thunder are likely to push really hard for worst record so the Pistons will likely be in familiar territory in that 7-10 pick range.

i think the team would actually better if they dont play griffin.

that's what happened when they got rid of rose.

I guess it depends on who gets the replacement minutes.  I don't think Sekou is very good right now either so that is the ideal situation because we need to find out if he can be a player anyways.

Some of Rose's minutes are going to go to DSJ.  I don't there is anyway you can convince me that the Pistons are better with DSJ on the court than Derrick Rose.  But I would agree that if it means more minutes for Jackson, Bey, and Svi, then that actually becomes a NET gain for the Pistons.  We need Hayes back to eat those minutes.

I guess it depends upon which lens you are looking through.

For the culture of the franchise, the young kids winning a game on the road against a playoff team is indeed good.  Those teams that they've beaten is an unlikely list on paper.  Its not a true refection of talent, I'd bet those opponents played down to the competition more than the Pistons played up.  But, it is good to see a team take advantage of those circumstances rather than just show up and assume a loss.

As for adding talent, well, there's no reason to explain that.  We're all aware of the cirucumstances.

The second half schedule is awfully quiet, isn't it?  Is there one ready to go but cloaked under secrecy?  Or is the NBA going to stretch as many intere$ting matchup$ into it as po$$ible based on first half results?

Cant screw with the matchups since teams are playing their conference 3 times and teams in the other one twice.

They will probably wait as long as possible to release it.  That way they can add on any postponed games that need to be made up.

The buildings are empty other than if your team shares it with a hockey team.  Probably the easiest time ever for a schedule maker.
