This play is a great visualization of how far the talent level in this game has grown.  This is a 19 year old, 7 footer who takes one dribble from the top of the circle and effortlessly dunks.   It’s not even an Evan Mobley thing.  There are many young players that can do the same thing.   Incredible at how quickly these players are elevating the game.   Moves that were only possible by a few pros twenty years ago are now common among teenagers.

Seems like a good year to have a high pick, as this draft seems top heavy. Not a big college basketball guy, though.

Rough game for Kuminga.  7 points shooting 23%/0% wtf.  He did have 4 steals plus a block.  People said his defense in crunch time was great.

Green scored better but also shot bad.  22 points 45%/28%.  A lot of comments how this was his best defensive game.

We are going to end up at the back end of the lottery again.  Sigh.

Before tonights game Green was shooting 30% from three.  Which looks fantastic when you consider Kuminga was shooting 18%.

About to lose again in OT to the Westchester Knicks.

Kuminga and Green shot poorly in both games.

Iggy Brazdeikis averaging 24 & 10 through 3 games.   Cassius Winston 13 & 5.

Similar to the numbers he posted for an entire season last year.  Europe is watching I'm sure.

Good Lord that second clip is absurd, guys that size shouldn't be able to do things like that.

Mobley is a freak for sure. Wish we saw a little more volume on the three point shot.

Not even sure who to compare him too.

Another chance to get a look at Mobley tonight at 9 on FS1 vs Oregon in a pivotal game for both teams.    This kid gets better and better every time out.  He’s got the entire package but his passing ability blows me away.

Definitely some KG in him.  Mobley has a better handle and passing though.

KG is far more aggressive than Mobley. Mobley is much more cerebral, he doesn't have that take over "I want to destroy you" mentality that Garnett had. I suppose Bosh would be a better comparison.

With the 5th pick the Detroit Pistons select Moses Moody, SG, Arkansas or something underwhelming like that. Maybe we will get a top 2 pick and there will be a Darko on the board for us.

This is definitely true.  He’s still so young so it’s hard to tell what he will become in the future.     He’s really just scratching the surface. His talent and skill level at this age are very impressive.

Actually, KG want aggressive at all. The running joke about him for years was watch him pad up shots so his teammates can take them.

Bosh is a horrible comparison. Mobley is a defensive anchor, a shot blocker, switchable down to a 3 and possibly bigger slower 2's. Bosh was none of that.

Mobley has the handle of a guard, Bosh didn't. Bosh wasn't slow by any means but Mobley is much faster, more explosive first step. Mobley passes like Jokic, Bosh didn't.

Both are tall black guys though.

I'm not the only one, including scouts who watch these players for a living, to make the Bosh comparison so....

It's not a perfect comparison but I see similar elements in their offensive game and their build. Mobley is a hybrid so it's really difficult to make a perfect comparison, he has an assortment of skills and is sort of unique.

My worry with him is that he's  pretty soft and tends to differ to others a lot but that could change as he gains more experience and realizes that he can be the best player on the floor if he really wants to. He's still in that "timid" stage of his development which shows how good he can be if he figures it all out because he's pretty good already as is.
