We may be a long ways from knowing if Killian Hayes was a good pick but in the little I have seen of the Pistons thus far, he is really bad.  Can barely dribble without turning the ball over and the shot is looks like it needs an overhaul.

a couple observations:  why is srvydas on this team?  to practice with the team?

okafor need not play again.  stewart does his job and actually hustles for rebounds and tries to play defense.

bey had a good game after a bad one.

poor killian hayes.  welcome to the nba, rook.  you get to chase around trae young last night and steph curry tonight.

is blake in "mentor" mold?  ive never seen a guy fake more open jumpers in my life.  all he does is pump fake, draw a guy closer, and then pass around the perimeter.  he cant get to the basket and at this point appears afraid to even try.  just a shell of himself.

To be fair, Curry was kind of pedestrian in the first half.  But, yeah, welcome to the show, kid.

The Bucks had a three for all in Miami.  TNT actually cut away from this game before it went final.

Well, every Buck made one except Giannis.  That guy is so overrated.

I don't know which is crazier in the NBA, the # of 3 balls or the total scoring. Even with the 29 threes, the three was "only" 60% of the Bucks scoring. You'd have thought that number would be higher on a night when that record was set.

I was a bit surprised to find out the record was "only" 29.  I figured the Splash Brothers would've came close to that just by themselves at some point.

and it's getting to where even though it took 25 yrs for basketball to figure out that human beings can shoot reliably from 24 ft, the next step is coming much faster, which is "who cares about the 3 pt line, we are just going to shoot from wherever the opponent stops playing defense, even if it's 30 ft.

I have a question on Hayes... :

Because he looks slow to me too. But is he really that slow (foot speed, reaction time, etc...)?

Or is it because he is tentative and uncertain what he is supposed to be doing moment-by-moment?

Meaning... he'll get faster once he gets more comfortable in the league? I mean... it looks a little like recognition and reaction time when I'm watching him so... is anyone else seeing what I am seeing? Does he get faster in the NBA?

(I think that's 5 Q's not 1 but they all revolve around the same issue...)
