Lions vs. Coach from New England they should have hired

Recommended Posts

This is what I remember about the Lions in Tennessee

Stafford got hurt.   Shaun Hill came into the game

Shawn Hill threw a SUCCESSFUL Hail Mary pass to Titus Young to put the game into OT.

The Titans kicked a FG in OT.

Lions got the ball back (first year of this rule)

The Lions get the ball back on their on 22.

They march down the field and get to the Tennessee 7.

It's 4th and 1.

Instead of going for a Field Goal,  the Lions decide to go for the win.....

The play was called for Shaun Hill to dry to draw the Titans offside and the Lions would have 1st and Goal from the 2.  If they don't draw them offsides, they would go for the FG and sudden death OT.

Dominic Raiola snapped the ball by mistake and Shaun Hill wasn't expecting it and hesitated and got sacked.

It may have been the most ONLY THE LIONS finish ever.

How many times has Adrian Peterson touched the ball since Patricia got fired?

Maybe could have used 1 more touch there.

Funny story...

I’m watching on a pirate internet stream. Stream cut out as soon as Swift took that handoff. When I finally got it refreshed there was a commercial. “They must have scored,” I assumed.

Then reality hit me like a punch to D’Andre Swift’s breadbasket. SOL.

Stafford having himself a day!

Great Showcase for a trade.

Yes, Stafford is rejuvenated with Patricia gone.

stafford is so good.  too bad he's wasted on this team.

I'm going to miss him.  Honest to God he's my Fav athlete of all time.  What a waste

It’s pretty clear that Patricia wasn’t holding Bevell back.  He is just a really bad play caller.

I know a loss is probably better for the rebuild, but I can't help enjoying the fight the team is giving. They suck, but it hasn't stopped them from working out there.

We only get 16 of these each year, it's hard to watch your team roll over and die for a handful of them.

there's our beloved lions defense!

yes, but we need to draft a qb.  the one position on the team that has a really good player already on the team.

How is that a clear recovery when you've got an official coming in killing a play with the ball on the ground and a bunch of players fighting for it?

Every game there are calls like this against the Lions.

Even of the offense plays a perfect game, they can’t overcome their own defense and these calls.

note: jahlani tavai is still terrible.

Is there anyone on this defense that can make an open field tackle.

Not that I’ve seen.

There is so much work that needs to be done to make this team competitive.  No matter what the offense looks like, if you have the slowest, worst tackling defense in the league you will lose more than you will win. Hopefully Okudah doesn’t completely bust, but it looks like he might. He was atrocious this season, showed zero progression.

I really haven’t watched Tennessee much this season but this is easily the worst DL and pass rush I’ve seen against the Lions all year.   No pressure at all.  Stafford and now Daniel have had all day.  I guess it could be a tribute to Oday Abushi and the Lions patchwork OL but I doubt it.
