2020-21 Preseason Talk

dealing luke kennard is not a big deal.  dealing him WITH FOUR SECOND ROUND PICKS seems a little funky.

the clippers then signed him to a pretty good deal so they obviously valued him, and still got the pistons to give up four picks in order to deal him.

sounds to me like weaver got played.

I just don't care about 2nd round picks enough to worry about it.

I wonder if Weaver would have kept Luke if he knew he would sign so cheap.

The knees are obviously a concern.  But that is a pretty cheap deal the Clippers gave him.  Probably worth the risk.

He clearly did not want to invest in legacy Pistons guys like Wood, Kennard, and Brown. But he didn't get good value for them so that's the bad asset management.

I thought the draft was decent but he has signed too many vets(specifically bigs) who might block young players.

If Blake shows anything, he might be traded but he also could opt out and get a multiple year deal in 2021 given the market.

i think there is zero chance blake walks away from the guaranteed $38 million or so the pistons will owe him.  no way in heck.

Have you guys seen the Pistons first half schedule?

It's tailor made for some heavy tanking. They have a relatively easy stretch to start the season then it's contender after contender with lots of road games sprinkled in (if that even matters) for the next 2 months.

I wonder if the union steps in to help him.

He obviously shouldn't be going to a strip club right now.  But they are open and it is legal to go to a strip club.

Why would the union step in?  He violated league protocols. The morality of going to a strip club during a pandemic is irrelevant in regards to whether or not he should receive punishment even though I personally think it's selfish and idiotic.

I know what you are getting at.  Its just funny to see "legacy" attached to a guy that played 62 games for the Pistons.

if harden came back and practiced, im sure the whole team should miss it.  they should forfeit the game and have harden cover their game checks.  he can afford it and its his fault.
