Damn Ohio State goes down to Oral Roberts!  I didn't fill out any brackets this year but if I did I think I would have picked them to go to the Final Four so I guess it's a good thing I didn't fill any out.

Sparty blows it last night, and Ohio State goes down to Oral Roberts.   So far, so good.

Fun fact:  Oral Roberts has just 2782 undergraduate students, which may be fewer than the number of  paid "student-athletes" at Ohio State.

Michigan without Livers has no problem against Tx Southern - not that they should have.

Iowa down big to Oregon in the 2nd half.   Assuming they lose, Michigan and Maryland will be the only 2 B1G teams left and they still have to play their 2nd round games so there's still a chance that not a single B1G team makes the sweet sixteen.  That is mind boggling to me.

UM makes it past LSU.

Well done boys! Sweet 16!

If Maryland does not come back against 'Bama does that leave UM as the ONLY B1G team left in the tournament?

I'm watching on delay.  They took a bunch of body blows from LSU.  They look ferocious in 2nd half reacting.

After beating LSU today Michigan gets Florida State in the Sweet Sixteen, get by them and they're probably looking at Bama for a trip to the Final Four.  Talk about having to run the traditional football powers gauntlet.

Probably a little bias since Joey is from the area.

The "nobody respects him because he's african american" narrative is going to continue to be a thing.   I think he's killing it for sure.  I think his trajectory is excellent and i could easily see him on the Mount Rushmore of Michigan BB coaches.

The same goes for all of us.  You are one of the best posters in Motownsports, G2.  it stands to reason the that some other board would offer you a big fat contract to weigh in with your perceptive yet wry observations.

Arbitrary cut off date off date but with that aside I just found out that since 2013 Michigan has more tournament wins than anybody in the country.

it doesnt have anything to do with being black.  we had to hear for years about shaka smart being a great head coach....and then not so much anymore.

should black coaches have equal opportunities?  of course!  are they derided as coaches unfairly once they get there?  i dont see it.

howard had no track record as a head coach before, so of course he was seen with a jaundiced eye.  however, he has proved all the doubters wrong.  what a masterclass in coaching and recruiting this year!

and roy williams and mike krysewski have NEVER been good game coaches.  they just get the most talent and roll the ball out there.  especially krysewski.  most overrated coach in basketball.

i am delighted by his in game coaching.  Great use of substitutions.

Contra to the african american coaching disrespect narrative:  they are a pretty caucasian heavy team.

not for long.  they have the #1 recruiting class coming in and only one of them is a white dude, iirc.

The champion of possibly the most overrated conference of all-time vs the 4th place team from the most underrated.

Should be a good one.

I'm excited for a potential National Championship* because we came from such a mope conference.

Congratulations to Juwan Howard and the Michigan basketball team making the Elite 8. It is nothing short of phenomenal what Coach Howard has done here in just two seasons. Some coaches have been in Ann Arbor for over half a decade and can't come close to touching what Coach Howard has accomplished. Michigan is now a basketball school like Duke, Kansas, and UNC. Looking forward to the Elite 8 game against UCLA.
