his pass rush grade hasnt been good this year per pff.

but take the pff ratings with the usual grain of salt.

You gotta just go with the eye test or the gut feeling.

Yeah, pff is all over the map with their ratings.

I'm basing it more on how he looked last year, looked like a player with some gas left in the tank. It's all relative, I'm basically comparing him to what the Lions currently have and a past his prime but still pretty decent Griffen is an upgrade.

That brings up another interesting questions.. does the NFL have a rule about this?  I mean, obviously you can't pick up a guy and carry him backwards... the ball carrier gets forward progress.  But what happens if Gurley, for example, stopped at the endzone... I mean clearly wasn't trying to go over, but before he could take a knee a defender "tackles" him from and pushes him into the endzone?  I don't know if we've ever seen that in a game, but I'm SURE there has been instances were defenders shoved/tackled a ball carrier out of bounds when he was trying to stay inbounds to keep the clock running.

This will only become a clarified rule after is screws the Lions running back somehow.

Griffen could have a mediocre season by his standards and still lead the team in sacks.

Better to go off someone else's eye test and gut feeling that seems so much more real because they put a numerical value on what their gut tells them.

Sorry.  Spent too long in the political forum having people tell me to go **** myself after I try to apologize for something I didn't do.  lol.

Valenti now convinced that this move means Quinntricia will for sure be back because they won't hire a new GM being down 2 draft picks. Lol Seriously? That sixth round pick means nothing to a new GM.

I can just see the Lions offering a new GM position to someone and the guy goes:

"Well... I just don't know.  I mean, I like the money, I like the city... I think I can really build something great here.... everything is good for me... but... geez... not having a 6th round pick in the 2021 draft?  That's sorta a deal breaker.  Sorry..."

I’m sure it was mentioned, but maybe not, but whoever the play by play guy was today, he was horrible with regard to awareness of the game situation.

I’ve rewatched the game a bunch this week. The last few minutes was so bad.  He was lost on nearly every play.  Mentioned praters strong leg when they were down 6 and thought the lions had no chance of spiking the ball with 3 secs left.

I turned it on with three minutes to go so that was all I heard. It was actually impressive.

The play by play guy was Chris Myers. He's normally their baseball guy. I think Myers may have been forced into doing the NFL games because of Thom Brennaman's little rant.

Myers has been butchering NFL games for years.
