omg.  think about how stupid raheem morris is.

went for it on 4th and 5 rather than take a chip shot field goal.  then instead of running out the clock and kicking a chip shot field goal he RUNS A PLAY!  ONE DAY AFTER THE GENIUS JAMES FRANKLIN DID THE SAME THING!

i think the lions just found their next new head coach!  he'd be perfect.

Atlanta really wanted to lose that more.

Gurley is a complete bonehead, one upping Penn State's boneheadedness last night.

Stafford deserves much better than the Lions. I'll leave it at that.

Outside of that one amazing season, they are Lions south essentially. Similar QBs, an amazing capacity to blow games in so many different ways.

the falcons have now lost three games this season when they had a win probability of at least 96.6% in the 4th quarter.

Lions are making the playoffs 100%

Here we go. Who has them in the Super Bowl? We just beat the 2 worst teams in the NFL. Or...2 out of 3, the Jets are in there.

In Patricia we trust. How dare we doubt his genius? /s

I thought there was going to be a 10 second runoff on that replay and the Lions would have the refs say "game over" just like they did a couple of years ago.

The Lions did play that Gurley play perfectly. If they had just stepped aside, he would have caught on in time and gone down before the goal line. Their soft tackling - on purpose or just because that's how the Lions tackle - allowed the TD to happen

Very true. The only thing we could have done better was push him into the end zone. How sad is this team, the only chance we have is by allowing a TD with under 2 minutes left. And....extend Golladay.

honestly though as much as we all know the lions are what they are - that game was fun.

I guarantee anyone on this board was jumping for joy when they won and you can't tell me otherwise.

Having this happen so recently and with both mistakes costing the offenders the win is, as the hipsters say, chef’s kiss emoji.

I predicted this after game 3. The Lions have a light schedule so this all fits the SOL paradigm. They'll end up 7-9, Ford's see it as adequate improvement and extend Quinn and Patricia, then they go backwards again for 3 more years and the rebuild continues. We're in year 63 now. This little win streak guarantees SOL and a minimum of 3 more years of garbage football.

Interesting question - are there any living former NFL players who won at least 2 playoff games with the Lions? Only 1 win since 1957. So you figure rookies on that squad would 85 now. If not, Tim Tebow has more playoff victories than any living player has won in a Lions uniform.
