alphabetical team name?

EDIT: no, i see my error

Yes, it is alphabetical by name but one of them is tricky.

I thought my error was Brewers-Dodgers.  I know the Dodgers have had a lot of names over the (many) years but I don't think any of them started with A or B

With an all-florida series, that fever might be covid . . .

It is alphabetical, but not by nickname.

Isn’t it just alphabetical by city?

Is the tricky part spelling out “saint” instead of using “st” for STL?

I'm watching the Twins/Astros right now and I feel dirty rooting for the Twins.  I'm rooting against the Astros not necessarily for the cheating scandal but I felt they completely backed into the playoffs and I don't want to see them advance any farther.

It’s been 11 years since game 163. I’m over hating the twins.

I've never really hated them, not like I hate the Indians or White Sox but I don't feel right rooting for them either.

I see that Giolito has a perfecto going through 6 against the A's.  A's looking to start their annual postseason choke job in style today.

I'm rooting for the sub-.500 Brewers to go all the way because I want Baseball to see what a disaster the idea of sixteen teams in the playoffs is.

Not to derail the topic but I don't hate the 16 team format but I don't like the format they are using.  I don't think they give enough incentive to teams for winning the division.   Yes homefield is nice but it doesn't give you that big of advantage, especially in a 3 game series.   If I'm a 90 win team I just don't see any incentive to spend money in the offseason to get better.  Yes you could say that before, but atleast then you risked having to play a 1 game play in game if you didn't win the division.    Now you don't even have to worry about that.

White Sox and Astros win.   Twins have now lost 17 straight postseason games.  That is just remarkable.

Won't change anything, the narrative will just be "That they got hot at right time", just like when a mediocre College Basketball team advances, or a low seed in hockey and the NFL.

Has a below .500 team ever won those championships?

Not that I know of but teams that were barely over .500 have won championships or made the finals in all 3 other sports.   The Knicks in 99 were an 8th seed and made the finals,  the LA Kings were an 8 seed an won the Stanley Cup, the 6th seed(lowest in NFL) Giants won the Super Bowl, so while they weren't under 500 they were mediocre teams.
