I hope his cancer hasn't returned. I'm a big gardy fan and I just might send him a thank you note, and maybe some twizzlers

Is Bochy too old school? I liked the way he was creative with the pen and would move around their order to play the hot hands

Just announced.................he's been sick

Get well soon Gardy, we loved having you around and hired  you 4 years too late.

I never wanted him here, hence my calling him Illadvisedhire.  But I do wish him a long and happy retirement.

Now Astute Al gets another opportunity to make the wrong pick for manager.  I'm confident that he'll take full advantage of it.

Tom Prince out of that list.

Dark Horse candidate, no joke. I could see A-Rod courted. Just saying....

ARod's got a billion dollar business to run, don't think he wants to deal with the every day grind and travel of managing.  And if for some reason he did decide to manage I envision him holding out for a more high profile job.

How about Rod Allen?

I think his hands aren't quite big enough to get around player necks.

I like A.J. Hinch.

Really don’t want a rookie or an old-school, crusty type, unless Ralph Houk’s ghost is available.

How about Alex Avila retires after this year and Pops hires him to be the new manager.

Ha!  I thought about this as well.  This place would go bonkers.

He does have valuable championship experience.  Who can forget his eight key hits for the 84 Tigers?

It seems something scared him, definitely hope that isn't it. I wish the guy well.

Bochy and Gardy were teammates on the Tidewater Tides in the early 80's.  Just sayin'.

Rick Anderson was on that 1981 team as well

Mike Rabello is at the top of my list. He's going to be a successful manager somewhere. It may as well be here.

This is an easy call for me.

Bring back Damion Easley.   He fits the mold perfectly.

Almost my exact same thoughts for liking Easley
