Mike Drumright?  You can't trade Mike Drumright!  He has "20 game winner" written all over him.  Just check out his career progression so far to see how right I am.

Also almost got Rivera a few years prior but after Rivera came back from injury and was throwing 5mph harder scouts informed management so they balked at the deal.

could have been our Smoltz moment, though we would have squandered having him in the organization.

What were the Yankees thinking?  Was that pre-Cashman?

Yes.  I think Bob Watson was the Yankees GM at the  time.

Plesac with an immaculate inning. Against the Tigers I suppose that's not so big a deal but it's still rare. Singer had a ten pitch, 3K inning against us. Sounds like Morris acknowledged it.

Bernie Williams was my all-time favorite Yankee.  I actually liked him.

Bernie was good but he holds or used to hold too many post season records. It was mostly because he played the most post season games.

What does this mean?

That he held more records than someone of his stature inside of baseball normally would?

I wasn’t sure whether two foul ball strikes mar an “immaculate” inning but I guess not, they are calling it that.

Good to see Fulmer get his ERA below 9!  Well on his way back...

Miggy would need to start his swing while the pitcher was still in his delivery to catch up to a 98mph fastball up there.

Shelton is going to be so upset to see the Tigers' playoff dream die.

Not so fast. The jays lost twice today. So the tigers simply need to win the next 8 games to get to 29-29 and then we’ll see what happens in the make up doubleheader against the cardinals on the Monday after the season ends. Jays are gonna be so nervous.

If we're lucky we can turn him into two Michael Fulmers.

Damn I miss that bit.
