back of the envelop? The average WHIP around the league must be at least 1.3, that is about 12 men on base per game. If the teams average ~5 runs, they must strand ~7 guys less DP erasures. Say that is 1 per game.  So that comes to something near 1.2 runners stranded per run scored. That's pretty rough but a reasonable method I think. Give or take how far off my  WHIP estimate was.

yeah, I could live without seeing that total LOB across all AB number. In fact I'd rather see runners left in scoring position instead of all LOB

There is value in seeing it across all AB. It is worse stranding a leadoff triple than a 2 out triple. Maybe find a weigh to weight it more accurately though.

I’d prefer to have Candy at 3B.  I see Paredes in the mix at 2B, if they are open to it.  He hasn’t earned a spot for next year, and might benefit playing half a season in Toledo, especially if he’s learning a new position.

I think I prefer Candelario at 3B as well.  He has not looked good over at 1B.  I don't think he is comfortable around the bag, and Torkelson might be ready soon.

I am intrigued at the possibility of Paredes at 2B, but I don't want to see it in season now.  Let them figure that out and work on it after this season.  Let the kid get his bat settled, let him play a position he is familiar with for now.

Is it possible Candelario is more comfortable at first and thats why he hits better ? I wonder the same about Goodrum. Did shortstop take away from his hitting ? I have no idea but is it possible ?

I don't think Candelario looks comfortable defensively.  Maybe he just happened to figure out his bat at the same time he was moved?  Maybe the figuring out first base took way some mental anxiety that had been locked in on his hitting and he's now thinking less about hitting (which might have been the issue)?  I don't know.  Its funny how those things can work out.

Hopefully Goodrum gets his bat on track.  It'd be only two weeks, but it'd be good to end the season on a high note.

I think we're reading too much into this (fielding impacting hitting).  He's only 26--maybe he just figured some things out?  He was always supposed to hit, so this outcome could be expected.

Maybe, maybe not.  His bat has really exploded, so maybe its part normal maturation, part whatever else?

Whatever, keep up the pace.

I'll bet the teams that lead the league in total number of LOB are also the teams that score the most runs.
