I would like to be the first to wish Derek Rodriguez and Shao-Ching Chang the best with the Tigers and hope that Joe Jimenez can get things worked out in Toledo.    Derek Hill, we hope your cup of coffee was good.

I wonder if the Milwaukee-area Arby's honors the 3 HR curly fry promotion when their opponent sticks a backup outfield on the mound?

Yep, might as well been a 4-2  loss.     The way this team handles things, they'll be fine.  They don't seem to get too rattled.

Plus we are getting Skubal in one game and somebody currently having dinner at Tony Packo's in the other game tomorrow.  It's a new day and we won't be pushed around.

So, I just got out of four hours of zoom meetings and classes?  Did I missing anything?

Zimm's gonna catch lightning in a bottle and throw a few babip aided great starts together to finish the season and the Tigers are gonna reward him with a multi year extension.

I see the Nats giving him a flyer and he pulls it together for an Anibal-esque turn around

I had it in mind that this was a night game. On the positive side they only struck out 11 times.

16 years ago today the Tigers and KC played a doubleheader where KC scored 26 runs in the first game and we shut them out 8-0 in the second game. So this is no big deal. Lino Urdaneta gave up 5 hits and allowed 6 runs without getting an out and for the year his ERA was listed as “infinity.” Three years later he pitched one full inning for the Mets and allowed one run and his career ERA fell to 63.00 which is where it stands today.

Sorry this is my fault, had the dentist yesterday then a mall shooting and got distracted.

Either that or I'm upset about Stewart getting sent down.

There’s a management regimen referred to as the “no excuses“ regimen but we are not going to apply that rule today. But your access to the Motownsports Learjet will still be revoked for 24 hours.

Future Hall of Famer Zack Greinke started that first game.

I was prepared to watch this game any moment now but even though it may be archived I can’t see watching an 18-0 walloping.

LOL - the SO DVR'd it for me but I haven't the heart for it either. Boyd is certainly running hot and cold. Seems odd so see in a guy in the heart of his career.

Heard Gardenhire on the morning radio show - didn't sound like they have any plans to change what they are doing with Fulmer either.

That's the Tigers' alibi, too.

Caller:  "OK, hear me out.  Why don't the Tigers put Cabrera out in LF.  That's where he started his career.  Come on, he can do it....."

Host:  "What?!  That'd be like putting a wounded horse out there."

Is St. Louis actually going to field a real team? if they do that’s not fair. How many wannabes, used to be’s, and could be’s but probably won’t be’s are they going to field? At least 2 seven-inning games will qualify as a built in mercy rule of sorts.

I didn’t know this had happened. This is absolutely ridiculous. It’s like the very fabric of the universe Is coming apart at the seams.
