I am not even sure casual fans would be that excited by Greene.  For Gardenhire to single someone out, my first guess would be Torkelson.  It is hard to believe they would call someone up with no minor league experience though.  So, it will probably be Greene.

I don't think either Greene or Torkelson makes sense.  They need a middle infielder, at least in the short term.  Alcantara and Castro are the only healthy middle infielders they have on the active roster (assuming Schoop can't go).  I kind of doubt they'd move Paredes off of 3B right now, but I suppose they could do it for today.  Even then, what about tomorrow's DH and day-to-day after that?

Greene doesn't help at all there.

I wouldn't think Torkelson is ready for MLB 3B duty, but who knows what has been going on in Toledo.

Is a few months of GCL/Short-A/Low-A better or more important experience than 2.5 seasons at an elite college program?

I assume we will know the answer in a half hour, but my guess is torkelson, for a number of reasons. He has infield ability. He’s old enough that there is no worry that he will need all of his option years if they start accumulating next year. Paredes is slumping. He is the team’s top prospect and probably the most well known, which would go along with Gardy’s comment.

If Schoop is available, it probably is Torkelson.

Anyone live along I-75?  Do we have a make and a model and a color of Tork's ride?

No, It just rarely happens.  I was just looking up Greene's stats now and was reminded that his minor league resume is unimpressive so far.  I am switching my guess back to Torkelson.

So, it's Cameron.  I don't know if that qualifies as fun.  It's fun I guess but not worth the tease.

I guess this is sort of like the girls in Little House on the Prairie getting an orange and a stick of peppermint candy for Christmas and it makes them deliriously joyful. Everything is relative.

Daz is certainly deserving of Gardy’s tease. He’s still one of the team’s top prospects. I’m guessing that in hindsight Gardy wouldn’t have said what he said last night.

Let's cut Gardenhire some slack.  He had a SP go 6 innings last night.  We should all be hungover to some extent.

Cameron makes the most sense and he is a legit prospect, but he seems like a pretty routine call up.

Interesting. He seems streaky so I hope he starts out hot. On the 10-pt excited scale I'm a 5.7.

Make that 5.64.

Better stick with my gut, 5.7.

When's lunch?

I knew Daz' pop had a nice career, but didn't realize he was 22 HR and 3 SB away from 300/300

I'll predict Daz gets to 97/124

When's lunch?

Don't diss the Ingalls gals

I love them. I’m the father of three daughters so I know those books pretty well.

I only had two daughters and doubt I would have survived three. You just got elevated to Super Hero status.
