Cubs laying the wood to the Tigers now.  They are hitting some rockets, and also getting help from the Tigers D.  Not a good showing tonight

Players today not here in 2022: Goodrum, Stewart.  Bubble: Candy, Castro, Reyes

The 1980-83 and the 2004-2005 Tigers had a lot of lovable characters who didn't remain on the 1984 champs and 2006 AL champs.  Good management can figure out the wheat from the chaff.

Brandon Inge was the C of the future until they got Pudge.

Yes. They'll be so great that they couldn't possibly find room for a highly versatile player like Goodrum. Can't wait!!

Stewart allows a runner to advance in front of him, Ks, then misses a ball a better OF should had.  And that's just 1.1 innings

He's really not endearing himself to the cardboard cutouts who paid good money to be there.

How about Willi Castro bolting all the way to the stands going after a foul ball that landed 25 rows up? You know, like he thought he had a chance at it?

It shows that he is gritty and never gives up.  That's the kind of attitude I want to see on a contending team.

Will Little is a terrible umpire.

I could tell that from the radio broadcast.

I'm at the point where I don't really care if Christin Stewart rediscovers his stroke with another team.

You will when he does.

He’s got Japan written all over him.

It might also show that he has poor depth perception.

At the rate he’s going, he might end up in the Frontier League instead.

You guys who hate Shep, you might be pleased to know that once the Cubs moved to their own network, Len and JD got way ****tier as well. They are nothing like Benetti and Stoney with the White Sox, who are legitimately great.

I'm annoyed at FSD being owned by the stove-pipe hatted, monocle-wearing, bloated plutocrats.  They hate the prols so much they inflict Shep and Jack on us.  They have their own super rich person's network for watching the Tigers with gold throated announcers who have excellent takes.  You have to pay a lot of money or be born into the right family to be able to watch that network.

Incredibly, we are still in this game. I’m on the edge of my seat.

It reminds me of the kid in Little League who with 2 outs would hit an easy ground ball to the first baseman two steps off the bag,  but would  then start sprinting in an obviously futile attempt to beat it out. Which means that he’d be so pooped that he would head out for the bottom of the inning and just sit down on the grass in left field, letting countless balls get by him.
