Not sure if I've missed this, but Nolan Blackwood probably has the best name in camp.

Hollywood name.

Yeah I could see Nolan Blackwood being a character name on a daytime soap opera.

Yes I think that that is closer to it.  Or perhaps a heroic cavalry officer.

Oooh. I like that. For the union, of course.

Beck tweeted they were doing live BP today - implies that meant no IS game. There was one up on the schedule this AM but that web page has now been updated to show the real games starting on the 21st. I just went to the 'scores' link on the Tiger  home page and no tiger game is listed for today. There is a link if you want to watch the WhiteSox though....🤢

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He could be a vampire on a reboot of Dark Shadows

I want to see passion out there.  I want hard slides, and chin music.  And I want to hear some chatter.

Hill and Greene both with highlight catches in this game. Reyes with one going straight back over his head in CF that wasn't too shoddy either. Boyd was fine - worked on his curve a lot. Manning showing a good curve but a hittable FB. Didn't break 94 so he isn't up to par yet.  Nova got hit a bit. Rony Garcia throws 4 pitches for strikes but did walk one.

Manning normally works 92-94 throughout his starts....only bumps higher than that on occasion. I've never had a ton of pitches from him higher than that in any start I've scouted. His fastball tends to play up a bit because of the extreme extension at release.

He does come down the mound at the hitter nicely.

Other than Boyd so far tonight I thought R. Garcia looks good. Did the Yankees not like him that much or did they just think they could slide him though?

Nolan Blackwood sounds like a bookish archaeology student who turns evil and tries to kill Indiana Jones because Indy is a real man and Blackwood is jealous being only his TA and never having great adventures.

Didn’t Billy Beane look like a real baseball player too?
