I'm a convert. Keep the ump to make the calls but put the computer result in his ear“but the biggest mistake you can make is to follow your ideas to their logical conclusions. I can't believe the amount of blown calls this year against the Tigers this year. And now today with the strike zone. You start to wonder with this kind of crap if there is something more to it than just human error.

Tigers have no chance due to this POS umpire. He won't give Max pitches in the strike zone, and he's giving CC a couple inches off the corner. I hope Leyland gets thrown put today. He needs to stand up for his team.

The umpire is afraid to call the Yankee superstars out on strikes.
He is letting them call their own balls and strikes today.Nice to see a civilized baseball crowd. No idiots behind homeplate waving zoo animal puppets and garishly colored flags.(quote from "Antrat")

Fielder scares me on pop-ups. Half the time, he staggers under them like he's not sure where the ball is.

At some point in the next year or two, someone is going to have to say to Fielder "lose weight or become a DH. You're effin' killing us with your boulder *** defense!"

Yanks didn't need any help from the ump on that walk. Ump is bad. Max not all that sharp either.

Again, Scherzer isn't pitching well, but 3 of those walks are the umpire's.

I just noticed Laird seems to have an annoying hitch when trying to throw the ball back to the picther after every pitch. He just cannot let the ball go. He holds it then waits then finally throws it back.

He's done that for a long time. Joe Morgan noticed it a national game once and decided Laird was about to have the Yips, even though he's always done it and has always been an excellent throwing catcher who has NO history of throwing away the ball on the return to the pitcher. It's just Laird
