6 runs feels like we're asking for 15 at this point.

Lets win this sucker and split with these guys. Sure would take the sting out of the two beatdowns they laid on us in the first two games.
Plus at least for me, reinforces my belief the Tigers are capable of hanging with them.

I'll be playing board games in a bar in Cambridge during this one... is this on a channel that might be shown at a bar, by any chance?
This spot, and a place in my heart, is reserved for TC.

This is why every team needs to have a goon on the bench, to provide a spark when the team is in the doldrums. When it's late in the game and you get a runner on first, you put in your goon as a pinch-runner. Everyone knows that he's going to steal on the first pitch, that he'll be out by a mile, and that he'll punch the living crap out of the shortstop when he gets to the bag. So the other team's manager pulls the shortstop and replaces him with his own goon. Sure enough the steal attempt is on the first pitch, the catcher throws the ball down to second but the goon at short doesn't even bother to catch it, he's already dropped his glove and is heading straight for the other goon. They collide head on, and each of them grabs the other guy's shirt with his left hand and throws bombs with his right. The umps let them go at it until they're exhausted, and then it gets broken up. They're both sent off, arms upraised in victory. The home team's goon gets a thunderous ovation, the visitors' gets a beer shower.

Ball should carry somewhat better today that yesterday - both a bit warmer and bit more north wind.

The Rangers were worn out by Wilk and Porcello. They've scored only 3 runs in the last 16 innings. I smell a 4-3 win.

What happened to the Rangers yesterday in the 4th inning is how massive winning streaks are curtailed. It always happens in the middle or end of a game that looks to be completely in control, then out of nowhere your cruising pitcher gets beat up a little bit, and you remember how easy it is to lose to another major league team. Same thing happened to JV against the Rays.

Does the TBS broadcast cancel out the FSN one? Or will they both be going?

My guess, without checking a schedule, is that the TBS broadcast is blacked out in FSD markets, just like with ESPN games. It's definitely on FSD here in the UP.

If this zone is the same when we're batting we may see the second perfect game in as many days.

If there's gonna be a team to score 1,000 runs this season, it ain't gonna be the Tigers. But these Rangers are so good, I can see them putting up 6-7 runs every game they don't face a real ace like Verlander. There are a lot of pitchers that can dominate another team on any given day. We sure have seen some mediocre pitchers look like aces against the Tigers. I don't see any middle of the pack pitchers dominating the Rangers very often. I really wouldn't be all that surprised if the Rangerd threaten to score 1,000.
