I can't believe Lamont tested Francoeur like that. What an idiot.

Whoa whoa whoa, did Rod just say that Max has pitched very good this season...?

Cabrera with his first really close play that he should have had at 3rd, that I can remember so far.

It was a good send. Francoeur wasn't set and was falling backwards a bit, hence the throw being up the line.

Delmon just needs to learn to slide. I saw him try once but it was more a tumble than a slide. It is going to cost him one of these times.

Nothing hit hard real hard off Smyly thru 2.

I would rather Fielder be watching where he is going than try to catch a foul ball in the Royals dugout on April 17 of his first year here at Detroit. It isn't worth a major injury.

So did Prince need more than ordinary effort to lean over 2 feet and catch a pop-up?

Didn't Rod Allen just point out that Francoeur did a great job of setting himself up? I was not paying attention to his setup but I thought the throw would have easily beat Delmon had it been on line. I can see both sides of it because Francouer was fairly deep on the catch and how often is a guy going to make an accurate throw from that deep?

Good AB for Cabrera. Hopefully that breaks him out of it.

Dan says he was asking for the ball when he got down to first.

Man Smyly hit right in the back, and then he picks the ball up and throws a grounder to 1B for a two base error. So far this is the 4th Pitcher injured in the Detroit System today. Hopefully he can stay in and stay lose to pitch the rest of the game.

Smyly ducked really quick on that ball up the middle, getting hit twice in a game would be bad luck.
