I can live with Santiago at shortstop on the 11th game of the season. I'd be more upset with Kelly at CF on the 11th game of the season.

If that is why he is sitting then I am a little confused as to why Jackson is playing.

Giving Peralta a day off is OK. Don't want to wear him out in April.

But, why, oh WHY, is Raburn playing? Leyland should set a date and say if he's not hitting but such a date, he's on the bench.
Like April 16?

Chen can be tough. I remember him shutting down the Tigers a couple (few?) times last season.

I kind of agree with that.

I also think people worrying about Jackson's Ks are overstating the case...especially at leadoff. If there's one spot in the lineup where Ks matter the least, it's the leadoff spot. It's the one spot guaranteed to come up with nobody on base at least once a game, therefore there's no benefit to putting the ball in play. All I care about is his OBP and SLG.

7 and 3 with only 2 wins from our SP. This team could very well finish the season with the best overall record. Stay healthy and the sky is the limit. Defense? What do we have, one error? Of course, Delmon has looked like a clown out there and Raburn has no business playing 2nd base, or even LF. It's not like his bat makes up for his dismal defense.

Make Dirks our starting LF. Delmon is gone after this season anyway, no reason to keep him happy at the expense of the team.
Put Dirks out there until he proves he can't hit LH pitching, which I think he very well may be able to do.

No surprise that you are upset about a managerial decision, but perhaps it's because Jackson isn't the same hitter he was in previous years.Don't fret, I'm sure you will be thoroughly disappointed by tomorrow's lineup.

I have Xfinity and it is channel 707. Comes in fine. Nice inning by Smyly. Not often you give up a hit, strike out 2, and still only throw 10 pitches.
