Very good season. Went 46-24 after the break and beat the hell out of the rest of the division. Won a classic series against the Yankees. Unfortunately, we ran into a team with a deeper lineup and bullpen. Need to get some of the holes fixed and get better in the pen. But there are now some real building blocks and the team doesn't require a massive overhaul to maintain or get better.

I want Milwaukee to win because they have the best chance of beating Texas.

I'm not sad. I'm disappointed the season ended like this, but I'm happy I got to experience this season.

I cried when I saw Schlereth jogging in from the bullpen.

The best part of this season was lording over our post season with Red Sox and Yankee fans. Red Sox in particular had a meltdown which has shattered their confidence.

I'm just really disappointed we didn't play our best baseball this series. I really believe we were the class of the AL after the Fister trade.

This wasn't a moment for tears friends. The Rangers outplayed us! Congratulate them and move on. We still have our boys and the future.

I had to work tonight (I'm at work right now) and so I came into the building around the 6th inning and I had to compose myself getting out of the car, knowing that this was the last time I would be hearing a Tiger game this year --- And that I was hearing it go as poorly as it was. I arrived to work sad and it took a couple of hours before I could really even be somewhat normal, though I'm still sad now.Tigers record when in attendance: 2012: 2-1 W1 Home: 1-1, Away 1-0

This is why during the season when all of us crowd the board complaining about stuff --- Or even off the board, when I'm at work or out and about --- And inevitably someone will smugly suggest "Jesus why are you getting all worked up over one meaningless game in May?!?!!" I then become so hostile.
THIS is why we get so worked up over meaningless games in May. Because they often are not meaningless. One more win in May, or April, or any other month of the year changes everything. Perhaps we still lose the series. Perhaps we're eliminated by Tampa in round 1. Or maybe we get NYY in the ALCS and beat them. But what would not have happened, was a Game 6 loss at Texas. That would not have happened.Tigers record when in attendance: 2012: 2-1 W1 Home: 1-1, Away 1-0

No kidding. I've done the same thing 'cause I basically slept thru the whole game. I wake up thinking, "OMG...", then came the sinking feeling, and when I turned the tube on..... yep. A laugher. But I got my kicks reading this here game thread. Too many times I almost squirted iced tea thru my nose. I'm gonna miss you bozos! You all know who you are blob209.

That's the worst part of the way the season ended. The offense looked dead for 95% of the series. And the worst part is we really can't say the Texas starters were the reason for it. We ripped almost everyone, and it's acceptable to me that we couldn't do a lot on the bullpen, that's how the pen is supposed to be. Last night every run had to come on the long ball, and that hurt us a ton for the whole series.
Great season Tigers!VT
