Sox have a chance to go on a roll and take advantage of being at home for a bit. Which means they will promptly lose 2/3 minimum from the Tigers.
I hope Joe Mauer's head catches fire and that Denard Span puts it out with a rake. - Antrat

Off days and rain outs are KILLING our momentum this year.

Mine was this past Sunday. Was pumped thinking it was going to be the Beckett/JV matchup, until the rainout on Saturday night....but it was still a good time.
Craziest part of the game was towards the end where we were making fun of Pedroia for getting a ball chased down by Don Kelly, when this lady behind us said, "Hey! Don't make fun of my Dusty!" We just laughed it off & said yeah right because they had been cheering for the Red Sox the whole game, but she was dead serious & said, "No, really, I'm Debbie Pedroia....and his dads right here" & pointed down a couple seats at another guy talking to someone else. So we turned around & introduced ourselves, and said it was nice to meet them. Turns out that other guy that Pedroia's dad was talking to was Kevin Youkilis' dad. At the end of the game she asked if we were coming back for the second game & we had tickets but we weren't sure with the weather reports. She told us if we were to come on down, they'll be in the same seats.
So after we left, we went to a bar & looked her up on our phones just out of curiosity....sure enough, we saw a picture of the lady we were talking to.
So even though we lost, it was still a good time, and we came away with a decent story.2012 Adopt-A-Tiger - Ryan Strieby

Hopefully the Tigs can keep up the beatings of the Twins and Sux. I don't care if they are both ****** this year, it feels good.
I just met you, and this is crazy,
I want JBK to see this, could you quote me maybe?

As someone on WSI said, The Sox are 4 games under .500 playing the most road games in baseball. They have gotten a lot of their AL East road series out of the way and already had a good west coast road trip.
Sox will probably fall flat on their face, but, its okay to dream.I hope Joe Mauer's head catches fire and that Denard Span puts it out with a rake. - Antrat

Afraid not friend. The Sox are my favorite sports team, and yet at the same time, my least favorite sports team. :(
My sister is the same way as a Tigers fan.
I still think Minnesota wins the division. I know they're in a huge hole, but damn it, its still Minnesota and they always find a way. :(
Tigers and Sox will battle it out for 2nd and 3rd IMO.I hope Joe Mauer's head catches fire and that Denard Span puts it out with a rake. - Antrat

I think the big question is how will they react whenever Mauer comes back, and furthermore, if they ever get their full healthy lineup out there.
Simply because they are the Twins, and they always seem to end up being in the thick of it, I can't count them out, even though I really really really want to.2012 Adopt-A-Tiger - Ryan Strieby

Michael Rosenberg: Twins not just dead, they're really deadIf the Twins go 64-44 the rest of the way, they still will finish only .500.

The Twins are the type of team that will come back as zombies after death, just to spite us.
In other words, I won't count them out just yet. At the same time the Tigers need to just take care of their own business and not look at who's behind them...unless of course they're currently playing a team that's behind them.
My brother once beat a guy in track who kept looking to his right behind him by eventually passing him on the left side....This spot, and a place in my heart, is reserved for TC.

It is unlikely that they will play this poorly all season, but the Twins will not "come back." The chances are that they will come back enough to screw things up for other teams that deserve better, however. They may play the role of spoilers. Maybe they could play well against the Indians and suck against us. That would be nice.

Ten years
Brandon Inge officially reached the 10-year mark of playing in the majors Wednesday — and there was a bottle of expensive champagne at his locker from someone who's always appreciated his style of play. "I was here for your first, congratulations on 10 years, you old (blank)," the note read — from Twins manager Ron Gardenhire.
