Litsch has a 4.60 ERA and has allowed 31 hits in 29.1 innings, his WHIP isn't very good. We should be able to hit him. Hope Coke is on tomorrow but I have my doubts. We'll see..

I would prefer Avila to bat ahead of Ordonez, but other than that I approve of this. If Jackson struggles for another 2-3 weeks I really think they need to call up Dirks.

Love this lineup, especially if Jackson is getting some of his contact back.
I'd still bench Inge though.

As for Avila batting #8, meh nice luxury to have a .300 plus bat there I guess.

I'm reasonably happy with the new line-up. I'd be happier if he moved Jackson to ninth and moved everyone else up a spot, but I won't complain too much.

I wouldn't be surprised if this occurred if Jackson continued to struggle and once Sizemore gets "comfortable" - he did lead-off some in Toledo (him & Dirks).

It's funny how the line-up looked older and life-less for the past couple of weeks-- now you have some young talent in the top 4 spots of the order, some speed in the top 3, vetern proven protection behind the best hitter in the AL, and decent depth.

I could see the order moving up, but with Cabrera and Martinez staying put if Maggs gets his **** together. Can't see smokes changing his 4 and 5.

I'm not sure if it makes people feel better, but getting your tail kicked by the Mariners is not something uncommon right now. In the last nine games the M's have won all three series they have played, going 7-2, sweeping the Tigers and winning three-game series against both the Red Sox (in Boston) and the Rangers (at home).

Bautista will be out of the line-up till Sunday.....he had 3 HRs & a .429 avg against us last season in 28 ABs

Ughhh. My kids showed me some Youtubes of guys swallowing Menthos and then chugging a Diet Coke. In the most memorable one the guy was firing from both ends - lucky he didn't kill himself. So yes let's just have the Coke straight up tonight.
