Now lets get after them, take the opening game and were playing a very weak team, lets win this game and ensure a series victory.

Big win tonight. It'll serve the Mariners right for naming their stadium after a company that makes condoms.

Every time you play a hand of you poker you wanna run through a mental check list. Head Position Hand Position Neck Position Breathing Posture. More than 25 items. It's a lot. And that why I've come up with a handy mnemonic device. Just one word: HPHPNPBPECMSPAMDCPAFTSTTL. It's easy.

I'm a little verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic. Range Factor is neither about a fielder's range, nor should it be much of a factor when discussing fielding prowess. Discuss.

They're going to call up a catcher for backup purposes. I'm not sure at this point if Martinez is going on the DL or not.

Perry comes back tomorrow. Please put Sizemore on the same plane. Rhymes and Gonzalez can catch the return flight.

Wow, not one play at 2nd? Weird. I guess Scherzer really isnt a ground ball pitcher. Any double plays?

From what I recall during the broacast it showed Scherzer had 7ks 7flyouts 1 groundball. This was in the 6th inning I think

If Scherzer is that good at pitching around a ground ball to 2B, let's stick Maggs or Martinez there. It's like having a second DH.

With Thursday and Monday off, I wonder if JL plans on skipping Penny's turn in the rotation? If he doesn't skip anyone, Coke and Porcello will be making their starts next week on six days rest.

Am I reading that right? The Mariners are scared to hit the ball to Raburn?
There are 30 MLB teams so each one should win the World Series on average once every 30 years.

They're afraid of that great arm and the unpredictability of it. I wouldn't want to hit a slow roller to 2nd just to get hit in the face by the ball while I slowly jog to first.

Tigers adding Santos, but waiting on Martinez Beck's Blog

Martinez isn’t likely to play at all for the next few days, which might actually provide a small silver lining if it allows Magglio Ordonez to ease back into the lineup at DH and limit the wear and tear on his surgically repaired right ankle.

I know the media would never question our atrocious manager. But this top 3 should certainly resonate with the general manager. The 2003 tigers had better top 3's. Just awful roster management.

I guess this lineup tells us that it will not be Rhymes being sent down to make room for Santos.
