Tried to make something different for this game, and I can't say I'm too thrilled about the design.
Oh well. GO TIGERS!

I'm not finding it shown on any public channels. If someone finds it please post. I would think MLB Network would carry the game.

He might already be Rookie of the Year; Rick Porcello .. but a win, clinches it.

I'm nervous. I have just a terrible feeling about this game. I'm hoping for the best, and I'm taking time off work to watch, but the demons of the dome remain fresh.
Lets hope the offense wakes up, if only for one game. GO TIGERS

FloridaTigers; I fully expect them to lose, so I am just going in with that mindset. I hope they win, but it helps to calm the nerves .. thinking they're going to lose, going in.

The pitching preview you have there does not favor us one bit.

Tonight is the beginning of a run of terror through the playoffs for the Tigers. They will be victorious tonight, and they will walk into the stadium that Jeter built, and steamroll the Yankees into oblivion, forcing ESPN to panic and scramble for real stories since they will then have to put away their Yankee praise until next March.
Tonight will mark Rick Porcello's first step into Detroit lore, as he throws seven innings of one run ball in a raucous Metrodome with a stinging sinker, showing poise much beyond his years, while the Tiger offense steps up with all the distractions surrounding them, pounding Baker and silencing the Twins crowd in their absolute garbage of a stadium for six runs in four innings of work for Scott.
Bobby Seay will strike out Joe Mauer in the eighth inning before giving way to Brandon Lyon and a shaky cut-fastball. Rodney will come in with two gone in the eighth, ending the inning, and come back out in the ninth inning with a steaming 99-mph fastball and a table-dropping 84 mph change-up that will make the Twins look silly on two occasions in the inning.
With Kent Hrbek, Brad Radke, Dave Winfield, Jack Morris, and every Twins fan watching with a tear in their eye, Rodney will shut the doors of this god-forsaken, piece of crap garbage bag arena with a 98 mph pellet on the inside corner, securing a pennant that Detroit hasn't seen since I was two months old.

Nah, if that happens they'll just start up the "SHOULD THE YANKEES FIRE JOE GIRARDI?!" crap, like they did in '06. Only substitute "Girardi" for "Torre".

Well this is it Tiger fans, for all the marbles. I am admittedly very nervous, and whatever happens this has been a hell of a pennant race and better you guys to have to fight to the finish than the stupid WhiteSux.
Good Luck to all, and lets all remain sane and alive no matter the result.
That said go Twins.

My god, it looks just as bad from the outside as the inside! As if a flying saucer landed in downtown Minneapolis. What a shame to the game of baseball.

BTW....heres a little something different. Im going to say why each team will win. Yeah, there are many acting as if the Twins have it wrapped up. But its baseball. You could throw the Washington Nationals into a sellout game at Yankee Stadium and they can win. Momentum, winning streaks, record, etc mean nothing in one pressure packed game. We can all say, think, expect, and pray for what we want to happen...but we wont know til about 8pm tonight.
My opinion:
Why the Twins win......
They are at home. Biggest home field advantage in all of sports, let alone baseball. Balls getting lost in the ceiling, taking freaky bounces, and a sellout crowd being ridiculously loud due to the noise having nowhere to go. It is intimidating to the opponent for sure. As a Tigers fan who goes to Comerica 5-10 times a year, the feeling of being at a ballpark, the real grass, the atmosphere of being outdoors..its the best, and it will be a treat for Twins fans next year after playing 28 years in that pathetic dump that shames the game of baseball. But with the outdoors, the homefield advantage will be gone. So this is their one big chance.
Why the Tigers win......
They have the better starting pitcher for this game IMO. Their bullpen is a little more rested. Also, the Tigers have been a consistent, resilient bunch. They have held at least a share of 1st since May 10th (it has been tied a few times, including now obviously). They have never fallen into 2nd since May 10th, but they have never led by more than 6.5 games. Some call them chokers....its the opposite. They have played at the same winning percentage all season. It is Minnesots who played the final month of the season (20-11) far above and beyond what theyve done all year. They went 16-4 in their final 20 games, and 3 of those 4 losses came against the Tigers. While I hesitate to say this due to their homefield advantage, I think their luck has run out.
Im going with my team to win it. GO TIGERS!

I don't think it is nearly as bad looking during the day at ground level. Its like that pic was taken to emphasize its ugliness. Don't get me wrong, it is always ugly.

Good Luck Tigers fans. I know 99% of White Sox fans are pulling for you. I have a good feeling about tonight. I think Porcello goes 7, followed by Lyon and Rodney. Tigers win 5-3.
Lets go Tigers!

I hope so, thanks. I've been nervous all weekend for today's game. I don't want good playoff tickets to go to waste, but more so I know Detroit really could use the revenue that even one playoff game could bring.

Scott Baker gives up an early 5 runs. Duensing comes in the 3rd. We win 5-2.

Let's see a Steve Nebraska-like performance, Rick.

If this thing gets out of hand (ugly) for the Tigers, will we see any release of aggression from the players.........
I would just think that after playing 6+ months in the lead, mostly, and then giving it away at the end, followed by an odd story over the final weekend to your star player, you might be in a chippy mood? Course this could just be a take from a fan who is not too happy with how it ended up?....

This is stating the obvious, but today is either going to be the greatest regular season win in Tigers history, or the most crushing regular season defeat. Nothing in between. It is going to be very difficult to watch.

Could be the most crushing defeat, but certainly not the greatest regular season win......

Ohh, I don't know, maybe 1987, coming behind to win it.....or 1945, last day of the season, Greenberg, Trucks...
September 30, 1945: The last day of the regular season, and the Tigers must beat the Browns to avoid a one-game playoff with the Senators. The Tigers start Virgil Trucks, who has not played all year and was released from the military three days earlier. Hal Newhouser relieved Trucks in the 5th inning, and allows a run in the bottom of the 8th inning to put the Browns on top 3-2. Hank Greenberg comes to bat with the bases loaded in the top of the 9th inning, and he hits a grand slam home run. Al Benton pitches the bottom of the 9th to hold the lead, and the Tigers win the pennant.
Certainly not a game in which should have never happened to hold on to a lead that was pissed away in the last week of the season.....

What would be? The finale in 1987 would be up there, but even in that game we would have gone to a one-game playoff with a loss. I don't think that we have ever had a single regular season game directly determine whether our season continues or ends. I might be missing something from the pre-1950s though.

I wasn't aware of that history. However, in that case even with a loss we still would have lived to play another day. Therefore, I think today would be a bigger win.

Got to excuse me, I've really got a sore spot for this years tiger team.
I really think the last day of the season in 1987 was a special game. And if I was alive in 45', that would have been a great game as well. Propelling them to a WS win no doubt.
I just can't give that title to this years team though. I just feel like, if they win this, they should have. And if they lose this, well, they get what they deserve........
