But I also think that Lee's nondivisional alignment has to happen if MLB does decide to go to a league balanced schedule (which I doubt will happen, it would reduce Yankees - Red Sox from 18 games to probably around 9 or 10).
Which is dumb, because the season format I posted would allow popular teams like the Yankees to travel to more markets than the current format they use.

Over a four year span, every team would have played every other team home and away for at least one series.

Meanwhile, Tiger fans living in Miami finally get to see their team play for the first time in over a decade.

Any idea what the Tigers are going to do with the rotation with all these off days this month?

I'm most concerned with when they're here playing the Angels - any idea who's throwing that weekend?

Odd to see both Casey Fien and Wilkin Ramirez in the game for the Twins.

Odd to think about long ago...

    Wilkin up, Fien down.....

    ...that seems.

I've been reading some of the old Fien threads. He was pretty highly regarded as a prospect here for awhile. Looking at his numbers with the Twins last year (he spent more time with them than I'd realized), it looks like he finally developed into the effective reliever we hoped he could've been in Detroit. Late bloomer.

Funny. I saw someone named "White Castle" posted in that thread and that they were released. Looked at his posts to see why and realized that this most likely was Cecil. Hehe.

I can't believe that Dolsi once showed enough promise for the White Sox to claim him off of waivers. Fien always showed some ability to throw strikes and generate grounders. I remember when he bounced from us to Boston to Toronto and back to Boston one off season so teams certainly saw something with him.

Sadly I will be stuck at school around game time. I will listen to the radio broadcast, and tomorrow I will have to miss the game for work, sigh with all these darn day games.

When you look at the schedule things don't get to be what I'd call "normal" until later in the month. All 1 or 4 pm games until next Friday when they go out west then it's either 10 or 3/4. It's not until the homestand we get the 7:05 games. Sunday Night baseball on April 28.

He still has his moments of clarity now and then -- blind squirrel, nut -- and he's given the Tigers credit for building a contender. But both you and Bigglesworth have his schtick down cold.

No doubt. I wish they would postpone playoff games were the whether forces you to wear an additional layer. Or just play each entire playoff series in either the warmer city or a neutral site like Miami.

Or...they could *gasp* shorten the GD season 2 weeks.

Yesterday, (Tuesday), 7 MLB games were played. 5 were under cover, except for LAD and OAK. All 7 home teams took the loss. The Tweens will take another smack today.
