Question: Michigan Man getting Ohio State memorabilia

Here is the dilemma. I am a Michigan man. I am also going to a Beanie Wells autograph session in March. I plan to have him sign a mini helmet. I am torn whether to have him sign an Ohio State mini helmet or a Cardinals mini helmet.

On the one hand I don't particularly want an Ohio State item in my collection BUT at this point in his career he has made the most impact with Ohio State and the accomplishments (or lackthereof..0-3 in bowl games) he had there can never be changed or taken away whereas what he does in the NFL is yet to be determined.

If I get a Cardinals mini helmet who is to say he A) doesn't flame out entirely or B) doesn't experience his greatest NFL success with another organization thereby making my Cardinals mini helmet pretty lame.

I hate to say it but I am leaning towards the Ohio State helmet and just storing it away somewhere...

What does everyone think?

Well that's a toughie. I only have one OSU auto in my collection and that is Archie Griffin on a 8x10. It's somewhere in the basement lol. I would go with the Cards

How about a football instead of a helmet?

If you'd prefer a helmet, I wouldn't hesitate to get it on an OSU. I have plenty of autos from opponents of my favorite teams and it doesn't make me think twice. If you were solely a U of M collector, that would be a different story, but then you wouldn't be going to a Wells signing in the first place, I suppose.

Now, if you're a Cardinals fan (living in AZ) and collector, then I'd probably go with that one. Even if he does flame out or wind up with another team, he's a Cardinal now.
