That's exactly the kind of play that's killing the Wings. Who was it that turned that puck over?

I'm going to puke if I have to watch these wimpy defensemen that we have only try to go after the puck with their sticks while 2 guys just stand in front of the net by themselves again.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.

Every time you play a hand of you poker you wanna run through a mental check list. Head Position Hand Position Neck Position Breathing Posture. More than 25 items. It's a lot. And that why I've come up with a handy mnemonic device. Just one word: HPHPNPBPECMSPAMDCPAFTSTTL. It's easy.

Ozzie bails out his defense with a dandy glove save.

Shouldn't try that at any age. I had a friend do time in confinement about 6 years ago because his roommate passed out after doing 23 shots and never woke up.

when you turn it over in your own end..it doesn't matter how many chances you get, but more quality shots at short distance

from someone who has center ice and watches a ton of hockey, we dont give up an abnormal amount of turnovers, we are just not as good as we were in years past which makes it seem worse, but we were the best before. We are about league average or a little better defensively with below average goaltending.

Ozzie was huge the last 10 minutes.
Good for him.

50. Finally.
That's exactly what the Wings needed. The playoff roll just started.
Hopefully, Osgood re-learned that he's a terrible stick handler, and we won't have any more bonehead clearing attempts. You'd think he already learned that lesson....

Just got back from a 3hr 10min Sunday morning long run and missed the whole game. I should have hustled a bit more or cut it short; sounds like I missed a good ending.

As much as power plays. Their lack of production with a man advantage is more of a problem IMO than their defensive play of late. I think the defense will shore up for the playoffs. But if they're having problem finding the back of the net on the power play, the Wings are in trouble.
That, and it seems that there's been a huge reduction in power play opportunities in the second half of the season.
When's the last time the Wings scored on a 5-3? I can remember a handful of opportunities stretching back a couple weeks, but they've been unable to score. Reminds me of that '02 team playing hot potato with the puck in the playoffs when they had a 5-3, with the entire crowd at the Joe screaming at them to shoot the puck already.
