At some point in this series, there's going to be a MASSIVE brawl ... I can feel it

Holy cow, I picked a bad game to miss.

The Wings must be frustrating as hell to play against. The Flames, the Sharks and the Ducks have all had meltdowns even before their elimination games. And superstars like Iginla and Pronger have been the biggest offenders.

Not much to say after that game. They did EVERYTHING right. To comment on the good things would require naming almost every Red Wing.
As far as the Holmstrom thing. Pronger clearly deserved a penalty as well. And I don't think we should spend too much time talking about suspensions because I don't think it will, or should happen. You're out of your element.

Almost wish Homer had sat for the 3rd period. Knowing the NHL, they'll take his return into account when deciding not to suspend Pronger. But the Wings are too classy for that. As Pierre Maguire said at rinkside when Chelios flipped the puck into the Ducks' bench and almost hit Carlyle: (paraphrase) Chelios is such a polite guy he skated past Carlyle on the way back to the Wings' bench and said 'I'm sorry'. Shows how much class he has and how much respect Chelios has for the game".

Holmstrom got the first star, Filppula the second, and Marchant the third.

whoo hoo! Go red wings!

The Wings were outshot 29-28 in this game, and Anaheim only got 2 hots in the 2nd.

According to NHL.com, it was
- Hasek
- Homer
- Filpz
I could see Homer getting the #1 though, usually when a goalie gets it, he had a lot to do with the games outcome. The Wings offense basically meant Hasek had a cushion, even though he never used it.
NVM. NHL.com's is somehow a separate 3 stars.Last edited by Shinma; 05-16-2007 at 01:07 AM.

Did Anaheim showed up to play last night?
They were flat and horrible.
Detroit played great, but how bad was Anaheim.
You can't show up flat in your own barn.
Detroit were the agressors all game. They played well defensively. They got the loose pucks. They won faceoffs. They did everything right.
All Anaheim planned to do was to do their usual things which is do cheap shots at players.
I wonder if Giguere starts next game. He hasn't been great in this series. Maybe Bryzagalov can get it done.
Huge win for the Wings and it helped that the Ducks did not showed up."Thank you. My thoughts exactly. I don't even care if it makes me look like sour grapes. Screw them and their fans who are reading this and gloating." -- GoGoCrede on Twins fans.

Giguere will start. He was only pulled as an attempt to change momentum, he was going to be put back in to start the 3rd but the Wings scored on their first shot on Bryzzy.

What an awesome game. The Wings did dominate this game, and Anaheim played so extremely horrible. The Wings can hopefully ride this into game 4 and take another one away from the home crowd.

I just hope the Wings save retaliation for next regular season.
