I love playoff hockey, I fell asleep around 9 and woke up to take a piss with 5 minutes left in the game and watched the rest, sooooo intense.

If the Wings recent history holds true, the flames will steal one in Detroit, and the Wings will lose the next game on the road to be eliminated.

I don't think there's enough proof that the Wings are a vastly superior team. Given how bunched up the points standing is in the conference, the lousy Central division and the unbalanced scheduled make it difficult to gauge where the Wings stand going into the playoffs. Look how Nashville is getting their *** kicked by San Jose, as further proof. The Pacific's 3rd place team Dallas had 26 more points than 3rd place St. Louis, while the Northwest's 4th place Coloarda had 22 more points than 4th place Columbus. Easy to argue that the weak schedule is worth shaving 10 points off the Wings' 17-pt edge over Calgary.
By the way, all of tonight's playoff games were available on streaming video on cbc.ca Not sure whether non-Canadian IP addresses were blocked or not. And rest assured that while the Calgary-Detroit announcers are horrible, they're the CBC's 4th string - the better resources are being thrown at the Vancouver-Dallas series.

crowd noise while opposing teams are on offense has a significant effect. That happens in both football and basketball. I knew you would disagree with me. I find the NHL the least important, that is all. Regardless of how well the flames play at home, the wings are still a better team, and there is no excuse for allowing this to turn into a best of 3 series.

no one said it would be easy...I am a bit nervous too but Calgary can't win away from the Saddledome and we possibly have 2 games at the Joe.
and the thing about the games in Calgary is that the Flames didn't exactly dominate the way the Wings did during the first two games in Detroit...the Wings could have finished that series off last night...stupid penalties doomed them...as long as they stay out of the box and play with more a little more energy than they have they will be fine...they are going all they way, keep the faith!
I want to work for the Detroit Red Wings
