Tapatalk
I updated the Tapatalk plug-in today, so if anyone has any problems with it, let me know.
There is supposed to be a feature in the new version that has some type of interaction with a forums Twitter account, so if you find that feature, tell me how it works! I played around with my app today and did not see anything, but I'm not a regular user so I might have just been missing that feature.
On a side note, it appears that Tapatalk has been a popular way for many users to access these fourms. The traffic to the site using that app is decent.I'm Motown W. Guy and I approve this message...

I used a free version of Tapatalk before, but thought it wasn't very good. I'm guessing the paid version is a lot better?

I like tapatalk for when I'm just browsing around the forum and reading stuff here and there, but the browser is definitely better for enjoying the full forum experience.

I never accessed the site via a phone before, but I know from trying that on other forums it is incredibly slow in comparrison. I click the tapatalk app, click one more time and I am looking at a list of everything that was last updated. I click the thread and get sent directly to the last post read. So basically it keeps me signed in and I click 3 times and I am reading words. It is very clean looking also. It was only 2.99, but it does seem worth it so far.
"Yeah You're right man...that is enough."

I have MTS set to show threads newest post first. After the update Tapatalk seems to be ignoring the preference.

I can almost fix this with the view newest post feature in the app.

I use Tapatalk all the time and I love it. It's probably my most used app. One minor thing with it though is that you can't view polls. I wonder why they don't have that feature, because a lot of forums have polls as a main part of their forums.

Another thing that I hope they add is that when I'm at the end of a thread and I refresh, it takes me back to the beginning of the page. I want it to take me to the newest post, so that I don't have to scroll down and figure out where I left off. This is especially inconvenient in game threads, if I'm following the action in the thread, and posts are made very often.

I have it set at always ask me, but when I'm already in the thread, and I hit the button in the top right corner to refresh, it automatically takes you to the beginning of the page, not the first unread.

I was using tapatalk but they keep wanting me to upgrade to the latest Hi-Res version for another 4.99.
Not a big deal but when I just bought the app a couple months back, then they try to get more money for an update??...meh.
Can't even remove the update notification so I just uninstalled it altogether.
I'm sure they don't give a rat's behind, but I feel better. The voices! Make them stop!

I just updated the Tapatalk files to the latest version. Not sure what the changes are, but you may or may not notice some new functionality.

One of the few apps done better in Android than iOS IMO.

Oh look I can take a pic on my iPad and paste it here. That may be the added functionality. Obviously some window reflection here.Last edited by Greenwit; 04-12-2012 at 06:53 PM.

I had read mixed reviews on the latest update so I had been avoiding it until yesterday when I couldn't connect here through Tapatalk. So I updated and it still doesn't connect to this forum. I'm connecting to a couple of other sites so I don't know what the problem is.

I don't know either. I just deleted Motown Sports and added it back on my phone and still can't connect. It's working on my Kindle Fire so it must be my phone but it's odd that it's only happening on this forum. I'll do my usual tech work...I'll wait to see if it works later :)

I just got tapatalk today for the Kindle Fire. I used to access it via just the web function but today for the first time it asked me to get tapatalk so I did, it was only a few bucks.

I don't know whether this is a server or client issue or how long it's been going on, but I've noticed that when someone in my ignore list quote-replies, the post is not hidden, and there's no 'Spoiler' button to toggle hiding the post. It's fine if the person isn't quoting anything, though.
Example of the problem:

Any ideas? I'm running the latest Android app (v2.4) from Google Play.0118 999 881 999 119 7253

Has anyone tried tapatalk 2? I am trying to figure out which one to get.
"Thirty for me, that's yesterday," Valverde said. "It doesn't matter how many saves I have right now. The goal right now is the Tigers in first place, try to win every day, go to the playoffs and win everything."

Yeah - opinion in the apps store is pretty polarized. The only thing that bugs me in the old version is that it is erratic about updating a thread to 'read' status when reading them under the 'latest/unread' tab. Other than that I don't have much motivation to try an update with so many bad reviews.

I just bought this. I figured that I use Tapatalk so much I figured that it was worth a shot. It's much different, definitely takes some getting used to, but I think I like it.
