Aren't the Tigers playing the Royals today, and not the Twins?

User error on the empty space. My post was tongue in cheek, Lloyd is playing with a short deck ,as he is missing: Jacoby, Schoop, Cron, now Candy, plus a lot of 4A guys on O and a pitching staff that for the most part does not pitch well at all.

4 straight one run losses for Tigers, first time since mid 90's, Lloyd not making a mark in his short time as interim manager

Is it me or does it feel like if this was a regular 162 game season that the Tigers would have lost about 105 games or so when it was all said and done? Some injuries have hampered them, and their early season 1 run luck is starting to even out (tonight would be a 4th straight game that could be a 1 run loss). This stretch was when the wheels fell off last year as well

At this point, i say finish behind the Royals and get a better draft pick. Play as many young guys as you can, let them get some more experience, but lose the last 3 (or 5 if they play the Cards). Of course i am watching and hoping they win, but it would be better to lose

I keep wanting to give up on this team, but i will give them credit, they do battle, and tonight was another one that if they can close it out, can save their season, for now.

Gardy did his team no favors today, did not PH, and the easy to predict K GO outcome happened. Other than Candy, this team is a mess offensively all of a sudden

Candy is en fuego, smoking hot. As this inning progresses, Gardy will have to PH for all 3 of the bottom 3 hitters, no way he can let them get 3 more easy outs from that part of the order

Offense is finding its water level. Cabrera looks awful, and a bottom 3 of Daz, Greiner and Alcantara has limited chance to do anything. Not sure why Gardy would throw that lineup out there. Greiner has to go, he cannot hit anything at all, hitting .128 with 6 hits all year (one of which was a BP HR off a position player last week). I would send him down and bring up Rogers, he cannot be any worse. Hopefully the Tigers are starting to weed out their dead weight (Stewart, Greiner, Jiminez) amongst others,

Yet the Tigers keep rolling with Greiner and his .128 average.

I think it is 31, the 13 inning totals:: the opponents have 31 runs, 33 hits, 11 walks, 10 doubles, 8 home runs with a total of 9 strikeouts. The Tigers: 4 hits, 1 walk, 16 strikeouts. Yikes

i would send Jiminez down after this game, they need a roster spot for Zimm anyway

29-0 the past 13 innings, yikes. But hey, the Tigers have 4 hits in that stretch. And, Jiminez is no bueno, he is the next Bruce Rondon

2-0 Cards, could be insurmountable already

As long as Stewart is not in that mix, i am good. I like the idea of signing Schoop on a 2 year deal

Schoop has been a good find, i hope they can trade him and get some sort of decent return.

Reyes has already had a good game, 2 nice catches in LF (of which i think Stewart catches neither), then a good AB where he fought off some tough pitches and then doubled to LC.

Cubs laying the wood to the Tigers now. They are hitting some rockets, and also getting help from the Tigers D. Not a good showing tonight

Jeimer showing some promise the past 2-3 weeks, after his tough 0-17 start. His D has been pretty solid, and he is starting to hit a bit. Good to see.

He is playing instead of Stewart, so what does that tell you about Stewart? The Tigers are going to need to find some semblance of hitters to ever think about getting out of this malaise. Greene and Tork are huge for this franchise, as most of the other younger hitters are not much to write home about.

Its amazing what real hitters can do against a highly touted pitcher making his first start. Of course, there is no mention on the broadcast that the White Sox Pitcher is also highly regarded, and making his first MLB start as well,

Alas, no situational hitting as usual with this team. Hopefully Mize comes out calm and gets out of the first inning like his counterpart just did. (and it was really super easy, even with a leadoff double)

Anybody think that Funkhouser gets sent down when Skubal or Mize get promoted this week? His ERA is near 11 now, and he is fooling nobody right now
