  1. I used to play RBI baseball all the time. The problem with those tengen games is that they are hard to adjust once they are in the NES because of their shape. That is in case you did not put it in perfect the first time and cannot get it to work.
  2. that is weird, I was just thinking of him the other day. I was thinking, whatever happened to him...
  3. Anyone interested in the Tigers giving Harnish a look next spring? http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb_news.jsp?ymd=20031117&content_id=604924&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb

people are dumb. If I had that kind of money i'd make sure I planed it so I would not have to work again. Even if I had to pass on the expensive suits and huge house. I'd be happier in a small house and not have to work than a big one and having to get up and go to work every day.

Crabtree's salaries from baseball reference Salaries 1995 Toronto Blue Jays $109,000 1996 Toronto Blue Jays $133,000 1997 Toronto Blue Jays $245,000 1998 Texas Rangers $290,000 1999 Texas Rangers $670,000 2000 Texas Rangers $975,000 2001 Texas Rangers $1,300,000 I know as far as MLB is concerned, the money he made isn't that much, but to most of us, that is probably a bit more than a lifetime's worth of work. Even after taxes Can't believe he would have burned through all that money already to the point where he has to work in a factory. Not unless he is really bored and needs something to do with his time. If that was the case, i'd get a job doing something else, factory/warehouse work sucks. Oh well, keep us posted as to whether or not it is him.
  6. I doubt the phils will trade Polanco. The way things are going now, it looks like he will be the 2nd baseman, with Utley becoming expendable. Polanco isn't a superstar, but he hits consistantly and you know what you are getting with him. He usually makes contact. In 554 plate appearances he struck out only 38 times in 2003.
  7. only for the right price, and I do not think either of those guys would sign for the right price.
  8. baseball for football... that is a dumb decision. oh well , wherever the money is right?
  9. Call me a trouble maker, but I thought I would post this in reference to a post a couple weeks ago. http://www.philaphans.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=008999
  10. He was the last living member of the 1925 boston red sox. Surprisingly enough he was not the last living member of the 1927 boston red sox, that position is now held by Bob Cremins He was probably the last living member of another team or 2, I just do not have the time to page through all the players.
  11. I know the phillies suck, but I love them anyway. I can't help where I was born! Back in the mid 90s when they were REALLY bad I used to wish I was born in atlanta.
  12. Over on the Phillies Message Board. http://www.philaphans.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=008797
  13. My fav Uecker moment is when he plays the drunk announcer in the Major league Movies.
  14. it would be very unlikely for this to happen, but what team would a player represent if he was voted in as a starter, but his team released him before the all star game? And back in 94 or 95, didn't a minor leaguer from the Rockies get a bunch of all star votes or something like that?
