  1. I'm with you on this. I tried several, thinking maybe I was missing the right brand but. I have given up and I'll stick with Stella.
  2. They are still dealing with the reduced scholarships and that is Carrolls doing. Are you being serious about cutting payroll? Kiffin gets his money whether he coaches the team or not. I guarantee they go after a "name" head coach to fill the position next year.
  3. Lane Kiffin is definitely a sub par head coach and not a very likable figure, but, the decline of the program belongs at the feet of Pete Carroll.
  4. In the past week I finished Stephen King's 11/22/63 and Peter Maas's Serpico. I enjoyed 11/22/63 although he could have ended it around 750 pages and I was slightly disappointed in Serpico as I thought the corruption in the NYPD would have been more detailed. This week I am reading Johnny got his gun by Dalton Trumbo.
  5. I got a kick out of this post. I can only imagine the amount of crying the Boston sports guys are spewing.

    Thank God

I found this guy irritating when I attended games in person. I found him extremely irritating when I'm listening to the games on the radio.
  7. I have enjoyed the first 3 episodes. I have yet to listen to #4 but I'd rather listen to the Mike podcast than Drew talk about sports.
  8. Halftime of the Oklahoma State/ Mississippi State game is a surprise. 10 combined points.
  9. Speaking of drunk, that's what I said about LeDuff's segment, "is he drunk?"
  10. I recently read The Corleone Family by Ed Falco. This is a prequel based on the screen plays, not the Godfather novel. The book takes place in the early to mid 1930's. Luca Brasi is the star of this book as far as I'm concerned. I'll leave it there so I don't spoil anything.
  11. He was the host of the unsolved mysteries reboot.
  12. I have a web site that caters to people who collect sports broadcasts (mainly football) on DVD and I have high traffic from August to Late February/ Early March. Between April and early August I have very little traffic.
  13. The 1974-75 Michigan Stags of the WHA had former Red Wings Defensemen Larry Johnston and Arnie Brown and were coached by former Wings player Johnny Wilson.
  14. Shawn Burr also played for the Vipers, as did Jimmy Carson and Daniel Shank.
  15. + 1 I couldn't agree more. There were some posts that were downright scary.
  16. John Long is another Piston who came back near the end of his career.
  17. Terry Sawchuk is another Red Wings goalie that was traded and came back. He played from, I believe, 57-64 in his first stint and came back to town in either 69 or 70.
  18. Your post got me to thinking about Roy Edwards, Wings goalie in the 60's and 70's. He spent one year in Pittsburgh and then returned the next year to finish out his career with the Wings.
