Real One Auto Kaline prices are ridiculously high so far -- $150 for blue and $350 for red sig. Seeing lots of ROAs going for $650-$999! Not sure why so high.

ran his hand right across the auto. got an "Oops!" and a blue blob on my card.

Still haven't cashed checks, no cards, and no return call from Foundation guy. JD started the year by ruining my card at Tigerfest, now this. Might be time to hang up the ol' sharpie.

sent cards on april 22! still waiting for sanchez, martinez, martinez, and iggy. spoke to tigers foundation last week and was told many cards were signed during the last homestand. was supposed to get a call to let me know the status-- still waiting. six months and no autos, no cards, and $130 tied up for six months. i could/should be earning interest on that money! disappointing!!!

I haven't used them either, but they were apparently started by Ellis Valentine (former MLB'er) as a way to connect collectors directly with former plays for autograph purposes. Their facebook page is up to date. No address listed but their email is info@pastpros.com.Thanks guys!!! Apparently, once you pay they send you the address. When you send the confirmation email and a SASE, you get your stuff back in a month or so. I'll post again when I receive my cards.

Just sent these guys 3 x $8 for three cards. Cannot for the life of me find an address to send the cards to them. Are these guys reputable???

I received four cards back from Tram today, mailed March 6.Hopefully other players will arrive soon s well.
One can only hope that they actually sign things before the trade deadline! On a related note, sent down to the Nats for their program with Scherzer a few weeks ago, check was just cashed. Sent cards to Tigers in March, haven't heard anything.

I was wondering if anyone has received any returns from this year's Autographs for a Cause players.
-
Am I the only one that has a problem with the Tigers actually charging for autos?Twenty bucks for a prospect!!!??? Time to stop graphing and take up a new hobby--like collecting Picassos and Rembrandts.

I had him sign my 84 cards TTM. I sent them to him c/o the Royals. I got them back in a few weeks, and they looked great.
Rusty is one of the last players I need from the 84 team. Didnt sound like he was signing, but I think I've heard that he generally does before games. I think that's the only way I'll ever get him because he sure as heck doesn't do shows. -
I don't have extras of any of those guys, but from a quick glance at the list, you should be able to get Farnsworth and possibly Ruffin through mail c/o the Rays and Mariners. Farnsworth has always been a great TTM signer and I saw a couple of Ruffin success reports early in spring training. I sent a request to Ruffin on 2/22, still pending. For what it's worth, I have had NO success with Ruffin over the years.

Wayne signed for me in 1983 at the park, as did gibson and aurelio lopez. They set them up at tables in the concourse before the games. I remember they all wore their blue warmups. It's funny what you remember after 30 years....I'm actually rooting for Johnson, Kuntz and Ruppert as they are the only three left that I've never caught up with. Trammell would be good too, but I'm not holding my breath. The diamondbacks actually have an open date on the 30th and they play in Pittsburgh the next day at 4pm. I'm wondering if the Tigers planned it that way so Tram and Gibby could make the reunion? Probably not enough time to get either of them for a signing, however....
I also remember that line in 2009 for lemon...it was hot and that was some old abandoned store in macomb mall. There was no air conditioning so they were pumping air with lousy fans. Very uncomfortable....I thought five years ago that place needed to meet the same fate as livonia mall....
Thanks. Not sure if you do TTM, but I did really well with Kuntz. I just sent it to KC and received 3/3 in a few weeks.

Totally agree. They aren't always going to be guys we all need. The only thing I would say about the 84 guys is it would be nice to shake it up a bit- a chet lemon, a ruppert jones, a howard johnson, those type of guys. We've seen alot of Petry, Evans, Bergman, etc. I think most of us have most of these guys, but there are a few who haven't been around in quite a long time, so it would be good if they could bring in some of the ones in that we haven't seen much of. Obviously Trammell would be great, but he has a day job....Is Wayne Krenchicki still around? Did he ever sign?

Did pretty good this year. Also won a social media clubhouse pass. Was not very happy with the surprise guests. Here's what I got:Lance Parrish - Ball
Gene Lamont - Photo
Steve Lombardozzi - Ball and Photo
Rick Porcello - 2 Photos
Mickey Stanley - Photo
Alex Avila - 2 Cards
Luke Putkonen - Card
Al Alburquerque - Card
Austin Jackson - Ball and 3 Cards
Omar Visquel - 2 Cards
Drew Smyly - Ball
Torri Hunter - Ball
Bruce Rondon - Card
I also got 2 GU Hernan Perez bats and 1 GU Don Kelly bat done on a Caravan stop. Overall it wasn't a bad Winter Caravan for me considering what players were available. Still think they need to be charging on a per player basis to weed people out. Donate all the money to the Detroit Tigers Foundation. It's a no brainer in my opinion.
We have been saying this for years. The organization simply doesn't care. Look at the news coverage. Do you ever see a guy interviewed who is freezing his butt off and just waited in line an hour to get the auto of a new coach and an untested prospect?Positive press equals positive cash flow. It's just a big commercial, and we fans are the props.

Boy, tomorrow will be a brutal weather day at Comerica Park. This is why I prefer well organized signings in malls....Just shredded my Tigerfest tix. I looked out the window earlier this morning, and resolved to go again only when the event moves inside--and resembles those of other teams (Bucs, Chisox, Twins, etc.). Kudos to those who brave the elements.

Everyone on the 40 man will be participating in some way except V-Mart, Coke, JV and Kinsler who are not attending for various reasons.Thanks. Where did you see this? I can't find anything on the web.

Has anyone heard who will be appearing at Tigerfest this year?

Sounds like a great idea. I think most of us agree that the event has gotten away from the Tigers--and has become somewhat of a mess. Since the Fest left the Joe, it hasn't been the same. I threaten to never go again, but inexplicably find mself in front of CoPa freezing my butt off year after year. I really do believe that this will be the last time--unless they revamp the time, format, etc
I would personally like to see the tigers do an open autograph session- the whole team- for charity. Tiered pricing (Miggy/Verlander highest). Define the number of tickets you will sell for each athlete. When you hit that number of tickets, that's it for that player. No inscriptions, so you can protect DC sports and others that bring these guys in. Number the tickets and call the numbers in blocks of 50. Keep it One item per person, one of each player per person. Probably no jerseys and/or bats, to keep the pricing somewhatreasonable. 8X10 Pictures, balls, books, something like that, but nothing bigger than that. Highest price would be something like $50-$75 for higher end players. Put them all in a place like Burton Manor in Livonia, or out at the Novi Expo. Do it once a year, perhaps at the beginning of year during first home stand. Coaches, manager, announcers too. That way, people can have a chance to get the players that never do public signings (or do them at such high prices that they are not generally affordable). Advertise it, say this is it for the year. I think they would absolutely rake in the cash for the charity of their choice. And it would alleviate the nonsense of vouchers and cold weather and the stupidity of standing in a cold park during the middle of winter. Then you could still have tiger fest, but make it for the kids, during the summer. Offer pictures with players, let people go on the field, but no autographs at tigerfest.Of course, that is an autograph collector's opinion, but honestly I think it would do really well. I have heard stories that the montreal canadiens used to do this back in the 50s.

Tigers personnel in the front of my lines (C/D) were saying that once you handed in your voucher you cahotos until your item is signed (and back away from the table). Sounds like, as always, the rules lacked uniformity.I decided to focus on getting autos for my son, and just cycled through the kids line--which was an adventure in and of itself! We did'nt have to deal with vouchers. How did the voucher system work?
Time to Part With My Tigers Heritage Collection
in Detroit Tigers Baseball Cards

I am hesitantly looking to sell my collection of Topps and Bowman Heritage cards. I have sets from the first through this year. Includes ROAs and buybacks. Hundreds of base and SP cards are autographed in blue Sharpie— numerous Kalines, Miggie, Fielder, Porcello, Scherzer, and one Verlander. Can anyone estimate what such a collection is worth? Thanks!!!
