  1. I had 2 together in skyline section and my browser timed out when I was trying to pay... No tickets for me :-(
  2. I have to disagree. I work for a German company, so we get a lot of Ex-Patroits that come over for Germany for a 2 or 3 year assignment here. I took one of them to a Pistons game a couple years ago and they were really impressed that we played the anthem before the event. They said they wised they did that before soccer matches back home. It made me look at it differently... I do agree that the problem is people are booing the team in most cases and that gets misrepresented... There are some occasions however that they are booing the anthem and the country...
  3. You'll be missed BR. I will miss reading your posts, but I know you are in a better place now and I will keep your family in my thoughts...
  4. He wasn't... When he first started posting his signiture was something like Damus Fucas and I had no clue what the heck that meant, so I typed it in google, and there were a bunch of posts at the detroit news of his on your everyday news stories... He lives in Clinton Township...
  5. Me and some friends play roller drop in every monday in Harrison Township...
  6. I have to say Ernie and Paul number 1 because I grew up listening to them since not every game was on TV then. George and Al second only because they did TV and didn't do every game like Ernie and Paul. Ernie, Paul, and Geroge are my three favorites with Paul and Geroge being interchangeable. I feel like I'm pretty lucky to grow up when I did with these guys. How lucky to have those 4 guys doing every one of the games I watched or listened to!
  7. I have about 30 of those wrestlers up in my attic, plus the sling 'em fling 'em wrestling ring...
  8. I wasn't so much thinking of the implications to the Czech's, as I was to Ottawa...
  9. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060215/SPORTS19/60215008/1048/SPORTS Former Red Wing Hasek hurt during Czech Republic opener February 15, 2006 TURIN, Italy (AP) — Goalie Dominik Hasek, who starred in the Czech Republic’s surprise victory in the 1998 Olympics, left Wednesday’s round-robin opener against Germany in the first period with an apparent leg injury. Hasek, one of the NHL’s top goaltenders for years, grimaced in pain as he spread his legs to stop a shot during a German power play about six minutes into the game. He didn’t face another shot for the next few minutes, but left the ice when play stopped 961/27 minutes into the period. After consulting briefly on the bench with the Czech coaches, Hasek was taken to a locker room to be examined by physicians. He returned to the bench area late in the period, a towel draped around his neck. Losing the 41-year-old Hasek would be a major blow to the Czechs, who are seen as favorite Canada’s biggest challenger for the gold medal in Turin. Because Olympic teams must play five games in eight days during round-robin play and another three to win a medal, even a minor injury can sideline a player for all or most of the tournament. Hasek, who now plays for the Ottawa Senators, is a six-time winner of the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s best goalie. He also won the Hart Trophy as the NHL’s MVP in 1997 and 1998 and led the Detroit Red Wings to the 2002 Stanley Cup. Hasek has been troubled by groin injuries in recent years but has played 43 games this season. His 2.09 goals-against average is one of the lowest in the league.
  10. I knew we were in trouble with OSU hit more 3's than 2's in the first half... I mean seriously, how many 3's did they hit in a row other than FT's at the end of the first half like 8? That was an UNREAL display of shooting... Simms made a basket like everytime down the court and OSU was still pulling away... Fun game to watch till Harris got hurt...
  11. Before my time, but I will take a wild guess and say there were stickers?
  12. Big win for Michigan over PSU on the road. Harris had a nice game with 7 for 11 from 3 point range... BIG game this saturday at #23 Iowa, that will be a tough game. MSU should have a pretty easy time at Northwestern
  13. Undgrad at Northwood University (div II) and Grad school at Michigan
  14. I'm hoping it can push them to 2 wins this week, but Iowa can be a tough place to play... Then again, they did hang with IL, so maybe they can pull off a big win on the road...
