  2. Agreed. I've flicked around every once in awhile, and cannot for the life of me understand why people watch Maury Povich. Can you imagine being him and going to work day after day after day and just listening to people scream about who the daddy of their baby is? I'd rather have a job walking dogs. And as a parting gift, I'd give every guest on that show free condoms and birth control pills.
  3. Sad. I didn't know that she had yet another recurrence.
  4. Just said a prayer for him, you and your family. Have a Happy and safe Thanksgiving and know that your MTS people are pulling for you!

  6. I was thinking the same thing. Next thing you know, we'll have a shortage of SPAM or Ramen Noodles or Cup-a-Soup . What WILL we do?
  7. Black Friday is actually a great day to go grocery shopping. Obviously not at a Meijer or Walmart. But if you hit a Kroeger or your local 'grocery-only' chain in the morning, you should have the store almost to yourself, especially if it's a stand alone structure and not connected to a major outside mall.
  8. That's my big fear. I was a big fan of "Jericho" back in 2006. Then CBS made the disastrous decision to put it on a 3 month hiatus in the middle of the season. When it returned, they put it up against, of all things, American Idol. The show lost 20-25% of it's audience, and was canceled. (though fan outrage brought it back for a shortened 2nd season before final cancellation). I sure hope this doesn't happen with "V".
  9. I enjoyed this week's "V" episode. Then found out next week is the last episode until after the Olympics! Huh? CBS did that stunt with "JERICHO" a few years back and sunk the show. And these network execs sit back each year scratching their heads asking "Why are we losing viewers every year?"
  10. Sorry to hear about this. I hear what you are saying about expectations. My wife and I stopped with the gift stuff almost immediately after we were married. We have done away on both sides of the family with buying B-day presents and Xmas gifts, except for the younger kids. It just got to be too much. The fun part of the Holidays should just be getting together and spending time with each other. With the unemployment rate as high as it is in Michigan, and with many people who have jobs worrying every day if they are next, I fully agree with you urging people not to put expectations on loved ones. Just enjoy each other. Again, sorry to hear about your friend, and here's hoping that there won't be more stories like that to be shared.
  11. You brought up the private sector in a health care discussion - and signed it with ENRON. So you brought up Enron and associated it with health care. Next.
  12. LOL. Yes. By bringing up Enron. Very clear pfife. Very clear.
  13. I wasn't aware ENRON was in the Health Insurance business. Silly me, I thought they were an energy company. And when they cooked the books, they went out of business. In government when that happens, that's called "change", or better yet - typos. Or it's just denied and people try to change the topic to a company that went away in 2002. Way to skirt the issue.
  14. Reports out today that CNN wanted him gone, and so badly they paid him an 8 Million dollar buyout.
