Was that his fastball or how fast he drove his van?

I thought they had Lackey on the ropes in the first, but the Sawx got out of it without giving up any runs. Nothing else ever happened.

Thanks for digging this up. Based just on my recollection/anecdotal experience, Greene's problem was keeping the ball in the yard, which may be related to keeping it on the ground.

How about Greene? That seems pretty steep for a guy who really didn't have such a good season. The Saves stat is padding his number.

The pitching matchup tonight actually seems to favor the Marlins <fingers crossed>

Let the Dan Gilbert/Tigers speculation begin

That's a real possibility. The one at Adams would probably have had to go. But Comerica was built back at a time when eminent domain can (and was) used to acquire property to build a stadium. Right now, the State has no qualms about using eminent domain to acquire a church if it needs the church's location for a public project. It would've been all about the propriety/appearances of acquiring a church to make way for a billionaire's playground. Either way, I think it was a lost opportunity. There could've been a small but dense area of bars, restaurants, etcetera in that location that might've led to better linkage between the stadia and the rest of downtown.

Alternatively, Comerica could have built at Woodward without the beautiful parking lots out front, allowing for space between the two stadiums

Somewhat related, a big goof in the design is that Comerica and Ford Field are adjacent to each other across Brush St. If there were a block between them, that would be one of the most valuable stretches in the City.

    2019 Draft Pick Watch

Matchups tonight SD-Perdomo, 7.56 ERA v SF-Kelly, 2.89 ERA. I don't know more than that, but looks good for SF based on it Marlins-Wei Yen Chen 4.66 ERA v DC-Kyle McGowin, 6.75 ERA. McGowin appears to be a September call up, maybe the fish can take this one Chisux-Fry 4.32 ERA v Cleveland-Bieber, 4.80 ERA. I had taken Cameron Fry to be a Cubs fan. Maybe he's tougher than the Beebs

    2019 Draft Pick Watch

The Marlins face Max tonight, so that's probably another L. Padres v. Giants is Robbie Erlin for SD against Chris Stratton for SF. I don't know who that favors. They both seem like bums based on the numbers.

I'm concerned that this series is going to mess up the drive for a better draft pick

Back part of a toilet. Com-mode. Rod used to call it "second deck." Then he choked a guy.

The way I understand it is if you put a guy out a second time, you can't pull him back. It's basically cutting him loose for anybody to have.
