Look at it this way: a group of grown men pointing and laughing at a group of their peers displaying a behavior typically thought of as feminine. How do you think that makes anyone with any homosexual tendencies feel? Is that the kind of energy you want in your locker room? In your very public organization, which is increasingly more exposed?
