    Farnsworth is coming back
  2. ROTFL I love it. I thought I was the only one who noticed that that idiotic quark. Since thats a guaranteed one at the beginning of every game, will put that at two drinks just to get the game (and your thirst) jump started.
  3. Friday night, I am going to call a buddy, get my self a 12 pack and take this bad boy for a spin. Ill do my best to keep a tally by inning and let you guys know how it went.
  4. Couldnt tell ya, they kick me out every time I try to see what its like in that area. however my season tickets are in the RF grandstand (right below the Pepsi Porch), and I love the view.
  5. ill make the edits to my first post instead of posting the whole thing over and over again.
  6. The Jim Price Drinking Game 1 Drink When Jim says “Wow!” >Double if its two consecutive wows (that means 4 drinks). When Jim says "Dan” When Jim says "This is a professional hitter" 2 Drinks When Jim says "Good/bad swings(s)” When Jim says "That’s a Faygo homerun, 100 delicious years” When Jim says “Baby” When Jim says "Nice area” > double if he says “Beautiful area” 3 Drinks When Jim ads -er to somebody's name, as in Craigger or Diekster. When Jim refers Kenny Rogers as "the professor" When Jim says "No question/doubt about it” When Jim says "Late breaking movement” When Jim says "The game around the game” When Jim takes a big breath right into the mic. 5 Drinks When Jim says "…qualify the speed of the runner” When Jim talks about funnel cakes When Jim says "Tools of intelligence” When Jim refers to baseball as “combat” double if it’s “mortal combat” When Jim says "Boy I will tell you what” When Jim says "Mojo” When Jim says “To all of you youngsters/young kids listening” When Jim says "wasn't he a catcher" when talking about a manager. When Jim gets overly excited about an opponents homerun. 7 Drinks If they ever bring back the Pepsi promotion and Jim says, "Make mine diet!" When Jim says "I heard [the batter’s] eyes click from up here” in reference to hanging breaking ball. When Jim talks about catchers being the most intelligent players on the field or anything else referring to catchers being superior. When Jim talks about his lemonade 10 Drinks For every inning Jim starts as the play-by-play man, even though I have heard him do this in quite a while. When Jim references his role in the 1968 world championship team. as for "texas leaguer" almost all announcers say that at one point or another And the the rock reference would be good to, that is if he still played for the tigers or for anyone else for that matter.
  7. Might have to lower the amounts of drinks down a bit, just in the last half inning I counted about 15-20 drinks
  8. Fantastic you mean the game time temp in '68? Dont think I have heard that before.
  9. I agree I saw him at common ground a few years ago for the first time and I really have never been a huge fan of his work outside of UHF. But he was hilarious, and put on a great show. I loved "Yoda" sung to the melody of 'Lola' by the kinks
  10. I don't have cable so Ive been listening to 97.1 all season so I need something to pass the time a little better. I know a lot of you have referenced the idea before but I dont think anyone has put one together yet. Its not as good as the Rod Allen version but I think it can be. I am open to any and all suggestions and I would definitely like to add a few more. edit: I am updating this post as more suggestions come in. The Jim Price Drinking Game 1 Drink When Jim says “Wow!” >Double if its two consecutive wows (that means 4 drinks). When Jim refers Kenny Rogers as "the professor" When Jim says "No question/doubt about it” When Jim says "Late breaking movement” When Jim says "The game around the game” or "he understand the game around him". When Jim takes a big breath right into the mic. When Jim says "The art of pitching" When Jim refers to Al Kaline as "Mr. Kaline" double if he refers to him as "#6" 5 Drinks When Jim says "…qualify the speed of the runner” When Jim talks about funnel cakes When Jim says "Tools of intelligence” When Jim refers to baseball as “combat” double if it’s “mortal combat” When Jim says "Boy I will tell you what” When Jim says "Mojo” When Jim says “To all of you youngsters/young kids listening” When Jim says "wasn't he a catcher" when talking about a manager. When Jim references his role in the 1968 world championship team. When Jim refers to fantasy campers as "Pretenders" instead of prospects. 20 Drinks If the game time temp is 68 plus or minus a degree and Jim then makes reference to the 68 championship team
  11. Gates always open 2 hours before the game (5pm) and the jerseys will probably be gone by 6.
  12. Tribe Called Quest is my all time favorite. Their most popular song is probably "Scenario" but some of my favorites are "Left my Wallet in El Segundo", "Award Tour", and "Electric Relaxation". Some of my other favorites. (Im glad you asked this question) Wu-tang Clan - CREAM Souls of Mischief - 93' Till Infinity Nas - If I ruled the World De La Soul - Me Myslef and I De La Soul - Buddy The Geto Boys - Damn it feels good to be a gangster "Scenario" is probably the best in terms of upbeat and good for working out. The others are not great for that purpose but still great songs. edit: If you need more, please let me know. Mid-early 90's hip-hop is probably my favorite era of music. And were by far the best years for rap and hip-hop.
  13. Common Ground has announced 5 more performers for the '08 festival line up. Drowning Pool The Mother Truckers Flynnville Train Julianne Hough and..... Snoop Dogg!!!
