Can't we just offer him a AAA gig, at his current salary? I was bummed upon learning of LP's retirement - I saw him as a possible great fit in a clubhouse like the tigers' Jeff Jones may be gone also?

My big Okie has cooled off a hair - but still has a nice set of numbers @ Erie: .316 .395 .503 He deserves a look come 9/1 or so. Couple evenings ago, he showed signs of ending his slump, going 3-4 w/ a homer. :-) Here's a blast from a few weeks back: Video Highlights & Clips - MiLB | Green belts second homer for SeaWolves - Video | MiLB.com Multimedia | The Official Site of Minor League Baseball

Nick needs some ballet maybe. Avila has been so beat up, banged up, and concussed - I'm amazed he can even function @ this point. He probably should have retired last winter? -
Mr. Green is on ... fiyah w/ a cool .917 OPS - & enjoyed a recent 4 game hot stretch featuring 4 long balls along w/ 9 RBI. :-) Dean Green Minor League Statistics & History | Baseball-Reference.com

Happy Birthday, double B! We sure miss you around these parts. Your man Sizemore got into six games with New York last year, netting five hits with a pair of doubles over 16 AB's. His knees are giving him a lot of trouble lately however, and he was just cut from the New Orleans roster.
