*** THE 2016 ADOPT A TIGER DRAFT EXTRAVAGANZA ***
redshark63 replied to DaYooperASBDT's topic in Detroit Tigers
Since it looks like I am up. As part of the purpose of the AAT is to support a player that may need a little extra remote mental karma. If there is one player who needs that karma the most, I would nominate our "fallen" prospect and former #1 pick, Derek Hill. and will adopt him as my AAT this year. Here is to a HEALTHY and productive year. Just keep saying: "I'm Good Enough, I'm Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like Me!" -
I remember him for breaking Clay Carroll's record of 36 from the year before (who broke Wayne Granger's record of 35 from 2 years prior - both Reds )

From Mark from "another forum" (I asked the same question there): "Finally got around to asking about this; sorry for the delay everyone. It's a pretty simple answer, really. Following the draft and 2014 surgery, the Tigers determined Dowdy had already reached his innings limit for 2015. He'll be back in action in the spring."

GDT: #13 Northwestern at #18 Michigan 10/10/2015
redshark63 replied to hail2mich's topic in Michigan Wolverines
When I saw the heading, I did a double-take for a minute - how often is Northwestern ranked, let alone ahead of U of M. -
Such sad news. I had the great fortune to meet Roger a number of years ago in Lakeland and have treasured the few times we have corresponded. He was a fine gentleman with great stories and a generous soul. You will be greatly missed, Roger. RIP Cancer sucks

Does the runner-up in the manager selection get the vacant Toledo job??

Just recalled and had a double and nice DP last night. Dixon's the One!

Hessman is as much (if not more) a 3b as a 1b (actually Many more 3b games than 1b in his career), so that particular aspect should not be a problem.
