  1. I am really getting tired of this crap. I want our world back.
  2. I find the show interesting but I can’t binge watch it. After watching each episode I feel like I need to bathe. The people for the most part pretty creepy.
  3. Being in a structure really makes a difference. my son just happened to be under a shelter in a park and he noticed it because the shelter started making lots of noise. The first thing I noticed was lot of noise coming from above me in the apartment above, after that I felt it at ground level where I was. If I’d been outside standing on grass I’m not sure what I would’ve felt
  4. I think I felt a couple aftershocks today. I was sitting in the kitchen on the same wooden chair I was sitting on the day before when the real earthquake happened and suddenly the floor and the chair just vibrated momentarily and there’s no good reason for that kind of stuff to happen. If I’d been sitting on a cushy couch of some kind I don’t think there’s any chance I would’ve felt it.
  5. Yeah everybody’s OK, thanks. It’s just weird. What was worst was that after 10 seconds it trickled to almost nothing and then came back with this rolling feeling that grew and grew and the rattling and the rumbling grew and grew and I knew if it kept growing it would rip my building to pieces. Glad it didn’t.
  6. At 5:53 PM MST Boise, Idaho today I experienced a 6.5 earthquake. There was first a large rumble and I thought “wow the people upstairs are making a lot of noise.” Then the floor was shaking the table the shaking the windows were shaking and it started to roll and build and get worse and worse and it did all this for about 30 seconds. It was like the earth had waves in it and you could feel every wave as it went through your body. As it got worse it was really frightening. When it subsided my heart was definitely in the aerobic target zone. Earthquakes are not common here by the way. The picture, is not truly what happened but it’s what it felt like. I have a tendency to be a bit dramatic. But without any exaggeration it was quite an event, simply due to its novelty.
  7. This sounds like something that requires energy and focus, things that I don’t particularly enjoy doing. I am however willing to enjoy the fruits of everyone else’s labor.
  8. This is actually quite fascinating but like much of what happens here it’s kind of over my head.
  9. I’m not so sure I’m going to die help the stock market. Are infected people going to go into nursing homes and infect people? At least they ought to make it fun.
  10. In Idaho where I live the county where the Sun Valley ski resort is located, Blaine County, has seen a tremendous irruption of positive tests, with 14 new positive tests recorded overnight, and 35 within the last week. Initially it was all within the ultra rich jetsetter crowd who have their 5th or 6th homes in Sun Valley and who came into contact with the disease because they are world travelers. All the new cases are local people with no record of recent travel who got it locally. Finally, something from the elites has trickled down to the rest of us.
  11. I’m glad that people care. The main thing is that without the baseball side there’s not a lot of reason for me to show up here, and I am an a-hole in the political form like everybody else and I don’t like playing my hand that way so I don’t show up there either.
  12. I’m doing a lot better Deran. Today’s the first day I’ve felt almost normal. I was really sick for a couple weeks. I haven’t had a sickness like this in years. I’ve been in self-isolation for nearly 3 weeks. Today is the first day I haven’t had a constant, serrated, hacking cough or felt lightheaded and emotionally skewered. I only had the chills for about a week. I never had a fever or shortness of breath, so I’ve never qualified, in this country at least, to be tested. In one week Idaho has gone from having one positive test to 50. It’s really taking off here. I’m 95% sure I had it but I wouldn’t test positive for it now I think.
  13. This didn’t make me smile but it made me laugh. It’s sort of the penultimate expression of idiotic pandering Clickbait. And yes it was on this forum in the Mandalorian thread. I’m not getting Anastasia ads or ads for tight-fitting women’s apparel anymore so this is just hilarious.
  14. I know it’s just two or three bucks although they may never play another game this year you don’t know. I guess just in principle my assumption is they don’t care.
  15. On the day spring training was canceled I was billed $19.99 for MLB radio. I have my doubts I’ll ever get a credit for the time where it’s useless. And I find it tedious going through the hundred emails I receive each day to see if they’ve sent me any notifications.
  16. I have been in self-isolation for 12 days and I’m finally getting better. I haven’t been sick this long for many years. My body-wracking cough, chills, immense fatigue, and dizziness are not enough to qualify for a test even though I’m 68 because I don’t have a fever or shortness of breath or have been exposed to someone that’s tested positive. I’m still not supposed to go anywhere, however, and I’m to act as if I do have the virus. It’s really frustrating. If it’s not covid19 it is certainly an illness ill-timed with this event.
  17. In the political forum you learn things about people you wish you didn’t know.
  18. The political forum is like walking into the house next door when you’re a kid and discovering they run a kinky sex club and your parents are there.
  19. Dan on the radio right now: all games suspended through first 2 weeks of regular season then a reassessment will occur at that time.
  20. The way the Math works is that you set the ratio of the numbers of those infected to those that have died. You have to know this. You’re just messing with people.
