  1. I work at a grocery store. I can tell you that people destroyed us today. We ran out of ground beef. That's unheard of. We probably came close to running out of milk and eggs, and gallon sized waters were gone as well. People must think they're going to be snowed in for weeks. Idiots.
  2. Doctor Who is pretty fun, and every once in awhile is great TV. The Episode 9/10 2-parter in Season 1 is awesome, and the story that really got me hooked to Doctor Who.
  3. The second half of Melancholia is fantastic, but the first half of it... dislike. A Late Quartet really does have a wonderful ending, and I thought the beginning of the story was strong as well, but I think the middle of it was lacking much. Perhaps that's what made the ending so great though, because I wasn't expecting such a strong finish.
  4. Of the ones you posted... Fargo, Adaptation and Primer are absolute must watches. I really like many that you listed though, and the "funnest" watch would probably go to Stranger Than Fiction. If I had to disagree about one film, it would have to be Punch Drunk Love. I am a fan of PTA, and think Sandler can hold his own dramatically, but I just really don't like that film. Combination of slow, unlikable leads, and an unsubstantial plot without appealing dialogue. Obviously, people have different tastes, but Punch Drunk Love is not a film I'd bother watching a second time.
  5. To those of you who like In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths, check out The Guard. Written and directed by the younger McDonagh brother. It's absolutely better than Seven Psychopaths (IMO) and at least just as good as In Bruges. Other Recommendations: Withnail & I One of my favorites and probably the most quotable film I've ever seen. "I have a heart condition. If you hit me it's murder. Mr. Nobody Visually stunning film. How it took four years for this film to get a US release is beyond me. Well, that's not true. It's hard for me to come up with a way to sum up this film without giving away the point of watching it. Please just trust me and watch it. Wristcutters: A Love Story Set in the afterlife for people who kill themselves. It's impossible to smile and everyone still has their suicide wounds. It's actually a film I would call "cute-slash-funny" with a decent cast. Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec) has a solid cameo. Bunny and the Bull A man who has a fear of leaving his apartment relives a vacation he and his friend Bunny had to Europe. Awesome set design created from cardboard, it's fun. If you're familiar with shows like The Mighty Boosh and The IT Crowd, you'll recognize some people in cameos. I could go on, but I won't.
  6. Before Sheed was a Piston, guys like Ben, Rip and Tay didn't cry to the refs every other possession, but after Sheed became a Piston, that became a given. I don't need another reason to want Sheed away from the Pistons.
  7. For people that don't want to listen to the video (because the video does suck and it's long), the circumstances are this; The teacher's "Fact of the Day" was that Romney was a bully in high school. One kid asked if it was true that Obama also bullied a girl in high school, and the teacher FLIPPED OUT. Then that student, and possibly others it's very hard to tell, called her a hypocrite for thinking it's ok to criticize Romney but not Obama. Her excuse is that Romney is not the President and Obama is, and that's the difference. Then when it was pointed out that Bush was ridiculed while he was in office she said "Well he was ******." She then told the class that people went to prison for criticizing Bush, and then the arguing sort of died out.

  9. I think Takeo Spikes was one.
  10. So psyched for the Jack White solo record. Also, a new "supergroup" with members from Deer Tick, Dead Confederate, The Black Lips and a couple other bands I don't know is releasing an album. They're called Diamond Rugs and the first single they released is great. It's called 'Gimme a Beer'. EywUScAIVtA
  11. There are enough bad teams in the NFL, we don't need 2 more. My $0.02; Just move the Jags to LA and be done with it.
  12. I ****ing hope not. He makes a nice play every so often, but I've never seen a linebacker out of position as much as him, and he misses an awful lot of tackles for a starting middle LB.
  13. Can't remember which year exactly off the top of my head, but I vaguely remember the play. It was against the Vikings and Cris Carter, who I think scored a touchdown on the play. I believe it actually might have been the last year before the Millen-era began.
