Senate Proposes giving 22 government agencies free access to your e-mail
Senate bill rewrite lets feds read your e-mail without warrants | Politics and Law - CNET News
Virtually no oversight required. Now explain to me why the NLRB or OSHA needs warrantless access to citizens' e-mail, facebook, etc. accounts.
This bill needs to be squashed like a bug.

Lame Duck Barry has nothing to lose by signing this progressive legislation.
"For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land."
William Earnest Harwell (1918-2010), from the Song of Solomon.

Here's a copy of the bill. It seems to require a warrant (unless I'm missing an amendment which carves out an exemption), but not until three days after the original data was accessed. This is terrible public policy and will hopefully die faster than SOPA.Last edited by tigerkid23; 11-20-2012 at 04:53 PM.

Will the American citizens have access to the emails from all the Congress and their staffers...
Or, are those protected and privileged communications...
Another wrong turn for our freedom...
And yet, we won't vote these fools out of office...
And replace them with a new set of fools...
It appears hopeless...VISIT MY NEW BLOG!!! http://the-villages-watch.blogspot.com/
